The site is very good, clean and well set out. Staff were helpful and polite. We were disapointed that the facilities were not available from mid-day until 6pm, due to a private function, and the following day the pool was not available from mid-day until late, and had this dangerous pink dye in the water that made it difficult to see the bottom of the pool.As this was a short three day stay, this meant that we were loosing nearly a full days use of the facilities, would l go back, yes its close to where we live.

To be honest, the only reason we booked this holiday was because it was cheap on a newspaper offer. when we got to the resort, I noticed immediately that the only amenities were in one dingy-looking, small complex. The playground was small, the arcade was about the size of my living room and it was all fairly worn and well-used looking.

The swimming pool has 3 changing cubicles and just a few cages to store your stuff in, these are not lockable. While the pool was fine, it was closed at 4.45 each day and was closed for maintainance at least once during our 4 day stay.

The food in the restaurant/bar was pretty poor. It was always going to be pub food and that would have been fine if it was of a good standard, but it was average at best. On our first evening we ordered the family meal deal, which was 4 meals and 4 drinks. The kid's Fruit Shoots were not available, nor was the beer or wine which was included. The barmaid tried to insist that we had to drink red wine, which was the only offer drink avaialble and neither of us like it, rather than swapping for a soft drink. She eventually agreed to give us 4 cokes seeing as no kids option was available either.

The caravan toilet was blocked when we check in, this was fixed promptly when we informed reception the next morning. The area around the caravans was pretty badly flooded, this is understandable due to heavy rain however there wasn't even any slabs to stand on, never mind a footpath. This meant that we spent the 4 days wading through ankle deep puddles and mud to get too and from the caravan. The staff couldn't have cared less when they were told about this. Given the location of the site, I would have thought that drainage or some kind of solid path would be a priority, but evidently not.

All in all, I was disappointed with the resort and will not return, nor am I likely to book with Park Resorts again.

Hello and thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We actively encourage all feedback as it is as a result of your comments that we can increase our standard of service. Our facilities are proportionate with the size of our park, however I apologise if they did not meet expectations. Following your comments I have liaised with our Retail Manager as our product offering is normally commended and therefore I must apologise that on this occasion they were not all available to you. Unfortunately we have had extreme weather conditions throughout the year and have tried our utmost to combat against the elements. I can also assure you that we are looking to improve the drainage on park over the winter. Once again I must apologise for your disappointment on this occasion.

Just had a 4 night stay courtesy of our Tesco vouchers, so it was good value in that respect. The weather was exceptionally cold on the first two nights and the heater in the double bedroom was totally in effectual at warming up the room. Managed to get some heat in there by wedging open the doors between the lounge and the bedroom. If you are going at a colder time of year I suggest you take a fan heater. There were only two of us so there was plenty of space and we could use the spare double duvet to keep us warm. The gas fire in the lounge was very effective.

The kitchen was well equipped but the knives were blunt (this is normal when self-catering). Hot water pressure was very low - if you turned it up high it got cold.

Our caravan had a separate toilet and shower room which was surprisingly spacious, but chilly. There is no shaver power socket in the bathroom so take an adaptor if you need to charge your razor or toothbrush.

We did not use the entertainment or any other facilities. We were surprised that WiFi costs extra - these days it should be free.

Room Tip: Take a heater!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review on TripAdvisor. The weather during your particular break was indeed very cold. We will provide additional heaters to guests in such conditions and these are made available at reception upon request. We do hope that when the weather is warmer you will come to holiday with us again at Cresswell Towers.

Nothing much to stay except great time here. All staff from entertainment to maintenance went above and beyond. Facilities clean. Fab get away. Local village lovely and beautiful coastline. I went with kids but with the great location I could imagine having an equally good time coming with my friends or partner or even bringing the parents for a night.

Had a 4 night Mon -Fri here and the only thing I would complain about was the weather,we had a basic bronze van 127 dale view nice and clean everything worked apart from we had problems with the tv signal ,the lads on site tried again and again to fix it but couldn't so they offered us the keys to another van either to move or just to use it to watch the tv (it was digital switchover time for that area)we decided to stay put .Next day everything was sorted ,I must add all the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful ,not a lot going on at night but we expected that for the time of year ,Would put this Park on my come back again list for sure.

Just returned from a three night stay at Cresswell Towers. We were a party of 13 and had hired three caravans. After reading some reviews there was some doubt over what to expect. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find we'd been allocated 3 new (Silver) caravans and although they were not all together they were clean, spacious , double glazed and centrally heated which was great as temperature barely broke into double figures.

The park facilities were good, warm swimming pool and the standard caravan park family arcade, but with 95% of games machines actually working. The bar prices were expensive and the bar staff could do with cheering up a little but the entertainment staff were great and kept all the kids well entertained. My only complaint would be the entertainment timings, our party had 4 kids under 5 and childrens disco etc. didn't start til 7.45pm (Bedtime!) unfortunately the kids had to sit through the pain of Bingo each night before their entertainment kicked off.

Otherwise all good. Would visit again.
