Victoria and Michael run a great pub and B&B. The food in the restarant is fantastic and the room was very comfortable. We left some trousers behind by accident and Victoria was very kind and packed them up for a courier to collect - thank you!

Bedroom was a little small but more than adequate for an overnight stop-over. Bed was very comfortable and the shower had a good flow. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Landlord welcoming and staff cheerful.

Great place to stay, rural views, country walks, near to Hadrian's wall and Kielder lake/forest.
Take the train from Hexham to Newcastle or Carlisle.
The Barrasford Arms is a Good local pub with an excellent restaurant, wonderful breakfast, cooked to order. Pleasant, friendly staff

Stayed here with a colleague for one night in the twin bed room 'Robson' whilst working in the area.

This hotel may not be a bad place to stay, but it would be criminal to say this hotel is a 4 star. Advertising the hotel as that just leaves you open for criticism, and at £100 a night- rightly so. If this was advertised as a 3 star, and a bit cheaper you would have got a 5 star from me.

I've never stayed in a 4 star hotel that has a tiny TV that looks (and probably is) 15 years old. The back of our door also had a black roller blind on it with a cut out for the handle because our room door had glass on it. Just get a new door?

Breakfast was nice, wifi was decent and check in easy.
