We visit the Pytchley whenever we want good quality food at a reasonable price. We have never had a bad experience and would recommend it if you like good food and plenty of choice. I would recommend the Pytchley Mushrooms either as a starter or main. The homemade Steak and Ale Pie is superb , the pastry divine and it is full of meat. Our only complaint would be that the Pie is served with Chips,Peas and Salad and we find the salad unnecessary and would prefer more peas. I have also eaten the Seafood Medley which is superb and today I had the Hot Pot which was very very nice and again packed with meat. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and polite making the whole dining experience a very pleasant one.

We visit this Hotel for Sunday lunch most weeks. The food and service are excellent and the friendliness of the staff is exemplary. We have also had family meals there with young children which went extremely well. We would recommend this venue to one and all.

I visited the Pytchley on a Wednesday evening for dinner. It was a sunny evening so we decided to eat in the small garden. I chose the small plate version of the Pytchley mushrooms, and glad I opted for the small plate as this was still very generous, and at under £6 was excellent value for a pub meal. A glass of the pinot grigio rose washed the whole thing down nicely. The staff were attentive, and I would recomend this place to anyone who wants decent pub grub in a village setting.

We visited the pytchley hotel on Tuesday evening, the table layout wasnt the best (there were 16 of us) as some of us had our backs to others on the table?? The waitress was lovely the food great but when she gave us dessert menus she failed to tell us to order at the bar so we sat there for 20-30 mins before she told us couldnt understand when you go for a sit down meal where they take your dinner order at the table but not you dessert?? so we didnt bother in the end but good place to eat otherwise.

We were looking for somewhere nice to stop and we happened to chance upon The Pytchley in West Haddon. It is an attractive looking pub in an attractive village location. We had a very good but interesting afternoon lunch, our observations. The Gammon was way way too thick and broad which although was tasty was much more than most females could eat a bit of a waste.

My fish and chips were gargantuan. I had to have two plates one for the fish and one for the chips a bit silly. I left loads of batter thick and crunchy, fish inside was really good though. The baked camembert was a little cooler than it should have been. The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive and seemed to be very busy and we had some good fun conversations. would recommend it but a bit olde worlde with heavy dark wood.
