me and partner like to try different eating experiences, so when we saw the tapas in olney instead of curry chinese or pizza we was delighted but, on arrival we was told there was a table available in 20 min so we decided to have a drink at the bar which was very pleasant and after 20 min the lady owner came over and informed us that the table had been given to someone else but not to worry we could eat our food in the busy bar area which would have been fine but to be the only people sat there eating in that area just felt wrong. normally we feel we are very laid back but there was no explanation as to why nor an apology so this time decided to give it a miss.
we returned a few weeks later and after having booked a table we was delighted to get seated. However we found the food was expensive for the portion sizes and maybe these portions are better served in a busy bar the way traditonal tapas is(were everyone is eating not just on your own). The food itself was really nice and couldnt complain about that but we feel this resaurant doesnt quite know what it wants to be a traditional tapas bar thats small and inexpensive so you can try bits of everything or a traditional restaurant with a slight tapas twist. On the whole small portions high price which doesnt really work for the majority of people
