Stayed there late June and it was splendid. I have stayed in many B&B around England and Scotland but have to say that The Old Forge is one step ahead of all. Starting from the cleanliness and comfort of the room to the rich and healty breakfast served. There is everything in the room as a first class acoomodation. There is a lovely garden and a swinging bench were I shared some nice cup a tea with Kath and Roger. They are wonderful hosts and I recomend their cottage for a nice, enjoyable and peaceful break.

The Old Forge was our first proper B&B experience, and it was a fabulous one. As I told Roger and Kath, they have set the bar high for what we'll expect at other B&B's. We had a healthy breakfast every morning with coffee, tea and orange juice. Their Kingham Room was absolutely adorable, and very comfortable. Roger and Kath thought of everything - from time tables and tissues in the night stand to a bottle of fresh spring water in our room every night. I also appreciated their backyard, which features a picturesque swinging bench and a view of the garden. We were only a 10-minute taxi ride from the nearest National Rail station. My husband and I rode almost everyday from the Luton station to San Pancras. From the B&B, we also traveled to Oxford and Cambridge. The Old Forge's neighborhood is peaceful every night, making it a wonderful place to come and rest after a day of sightseeing. I highly recommend the Old Forge. We felt quite at home there.

Our family stayed with Kath and Roger at the Old Forge for the weekend, when attending a family wedding in the village. We had a wonderful stay in their lovely cosy cottage, it really made the weekend for us, and we returned home refreshed and revived, having been looked after so well. The rooms & bathrooms were spotless and stylish, with all those little extra details that made our stay so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble, and it felt like a real home from home. We were so thrilled, we told most of the guests at the wedding, so if they dont beat us to it, we hope to see you again when we next visit. Thanks again .

Room Tip: There are 2 rooms, and both are equally lovely

We spent 2 nights, 10/8 & 11/8, at this superb b&b one of the best we have ever stayed in. The rooms are spotless with a lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurts, toast or the full monty which we took full advantage of and were not disappointed..! Kath and Roger are fantastic hosts who made us feel comfortable in their home. There are some lovely walks nearby. A couple of minutes walk away is the friendly local pub, which serves very good food. We will most definetly be back........

We arrived on July 6th for one night and were treated as friends. We were most impressive by Kath and Roger's help when one of us fell ill. Not only did they provide us with the information we needed, they even went out of their way to drive us to the pharmacy in one of the neighboring towns. This is what makes me want to give 6 stars, as the luxurious, clean, and well-stocked room and the wonderful breakfast easily earn 5.

We stayed 4 nights in this cosy B&B. Kath en Roger are really wonderfull people ...They make you feel at home. We enjoyed the amazing breakfast with fresh fruit every morning. Kath adored our children, we were her first family and we loved her kindness...
The rooms were very clean, complete and well decorated...the bed had been equipped with a blissfully soft mattress.

Kath also gave us great advice on trips.
A really excellent experience...
We will definitely recommend this B & B to our best friends when they are looking for a nice house near London (25 min by train) and the Harry Potter Studio's...
We already miss the good laughs with Kath ...
Hope to come back someday.

Had a great three night stop here. Kath and Roger are very friendly, the rooms are cosy, luxurious and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts just amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, if you are a light breakfaster you can choose from an array of cereals, fruit salad, yogurts, toast, if you prefer the heartier type of breakfast there is everything from the traditional full english, through to haddock or smoked salmon on muffins. Being vegetarian, we plumped for the fruit; followed by eggs on toast.
We came over from France with our french neighbours, the house is the perfect base to travel into London from, we took the train from Stevenage (25 mins train time), Luton is closer but we had people to visit. We also visited Woburn Abbey and the safari park, which was great. Could easily have spent another few days in the area visiting Cambridge etc; but time was short this time. Local pub is a minute or two's walk for a good nightcap. We will go back and we thoroughly recommend it to anyone staying in the area or flying in to Luton and looking for something a bit different from the usual hotels. Excellent.

Room Tip: We stayed in Kingham which has an ensuite, theother room ahs a private bathroom too but just acorss...
