“Superb venue”

Attended for an AGM of a motoring club and have to say that the venue, exhibits and facilities were truly excellent, a fitting tribute to an industry in which Britain once led the world!

While visiting family nearby, I spent a morning at this museum. Expensive admission. The selection of British cars is quite extensive and arranged primarily by date. I'd have to classify it more as a collection than a museum. Few if any of the cars have the hoods open for inspection, there are several marques not represented (no Delorean for example, and I won't give them mine!). There is some good history about the development of the auto industry in the Coventry/Birmingham area which was interesting.

Worth a visit if you have an interest in the history of the area or of cars, but for a true enthusiast, it isn't "meaty" enough. I wouldn't travel up from London just for this, but if in the area (Warwick castle or Avon), give it a shot.

“Fair unless you have seen the alternatives”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Very disappointed to be honest. Not very large, kept expecting to go through a doorway into the next hall, but there wasn't one! Its very expensive for what there is, nearly £20 for myself and my son. Now in isolation it is a reasonably enjoyable trip but comparatively not too far away there is the truly vast Coventry Transport Museum that is FREE (except a couple of quid parking) and has 4 times more to see, greater variety and some incredibly significant vehicles of all sorts. It makes the Heritage centre seem some what redundant. I am not surprised they give away free annual visits when you buy a ticket, I don't imagine people use it that often. Judging by the other reviews I can only assume most other reviewers have not been to Coventry.

“Outstanding Experience and Food/Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

We were a party of 100+ people attending a friends 70th birthday celebration. Although we have never eaten at this location our experience could not have been better. The overall experience was 110% staff attentive, ambience first class, food of the highest quality at least equal to a 5* hotel. I would highly recommend this as a first class venue for any theme. Just want to mention that the food portion sizes were ginormas. The people who run this venue are outstanding professionals. After the event I found out that some serving staff were agency but they were so professional and attentive you would have thought they were permanent staff. Tremendous motivation and attention to detail.
