“Darshan of Maa Tara and nalhateshwari west bengal”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Left guwahat after darshan of Dirgeshwari shakti peeth, on sunday 18.30 there was a train to puri, But unable to book it till rampur hat, Had to book the ticket till midnapore.
Arrived rampur hat in mondya morning 10.35am, Took bath in railway station itself, now there was no government buses in west bengal, First sat in a shared auto, later on moved to jeep, shared with 12 people, cost rs.15/- for tarapeeth. arrived there within 20 minutes, There I found a big water tank to take bath, regretted taking bath in railway station, Now this sort of risk had to be taken, because not always you can find a place to bath, Hence this risk is always worth, Now where to keep my luggage? after going into the lanes, The temple steps appeared, went up left my slippers outside itself, and one last shop at the left hand side was found, just near to the temple water tank, I asked him whether he will keep my bag, He asked me what you are going to purchase, I said none. He said ok and I kept the bags there, went and stood in the darshan queue, now had a change of mind, went back to the shop keeper, asked for the Hibiscus flower garland, costs rs.5/- agarbathi and kumkum, overall cost me rs.15/-, and once again stood in the queue.
Now many priests came and said they will do quick darshan and many such things, I said thanks. Now I am not the one who is against giving money to priests, But I doing like being fleeced, I can afford to pay 20-30 or so. Now if i pay this the priest will only curse me, hence I always avoid such type of cross cut poojas, After entering into the temple, Maa's feet are found, Touched my head on it. Now at the entrance, one priest demanded from each one rs.10 for darshan, i gave rs.10/-, garland i threw on the Maa Tara and kumkum I placed on the deity for a second, The priest demanded dakshina gave rs.20/- and afterwards came out. Near the tank there is the BABA's idol along with his dog, Did a mata teka and came out heart content. Went to a hotel nearby for rs40/- stomach full rice, also had some poori.

Now Time to leave for Nalhateshwari maa temple. Many people gave many routes, I took the return jeep to rampur hat, cost me rs.15/-, Arrived at the rampur hat bus stand, many buses are found for nalhati... the name of the place. Initially the bus was empty, as and when it started people sat on the roof tops, The costs was rs.8/-, but the conductor din't return back the change for rs.10/-. I arrived nalhati within 25 minutes, Had a walk for 5 minutes, crossed the nalhati railway station. It was almost 25 minutes walk, when almost half a distance was crossed, a school boy was riding a cycle, I asked him, the details for temple, he asked me whether I was coming from the railway station, I replied yes... He said the same amount of time it is going to take. I asked him to take me in his cycle, he gave me his cycle and asked me to pedal, I gave my bags to him. I took me in all the left and right... and atlast the temple, Now no temple pond for bath, after 10 steps there was a big crowd, It was marriage time, exactly at the front of the deity the couple were sitting and its party surrounding it. Some how had the darshan to my heart fill. Took a rickshaw, but this time it was a straight road, costs rs.15/- to arrive at nalhati railway station, enquired for trains to rampur hat, Had none. So once again 5 minutes walk to the main road, took a bus, this time it was empty, this time the conductor gave me the change. Arrived at rampur hat railway station in 15 minutes, Now no hotels are found there, Only one and it din't have any meals. It was 4.30pm, my train to chennai was at 18.45hrs, (mussafarabad - yeshwatpur express via howrah), One the road side I found one eatery packed 10 chapatis cost me 3/-, per one. the dish was awful, the chapathi was good though. Sat on the train, arrived on wednesday early morning 3.45am,

Yup, regretted unable to visit kolkotta kali, else the trip would have been complete circile, But that the praptham available.

Any details email me... will try to help you... as much I know.
