“Just what we needed!”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights as a base for visiting family and enjoying the Sailing in Weymouth. House is lovely, couldn't ask for more. Only slight negative was the doors in the room were a bit stiff and we had to really jolt the door to open it but once inside everything was clean and tidy. Owner is lovely and breakfast is brilliant - a great way to start the day. Thank you!

A very peaceful stay for 2 nights in a comfortable and spotlessly clean room at the front of the house. Good to have complementary WiFi too although this worked better downstairs than in the bedroom.

The quality and quantity of the breakfast really was wonderful - freshly prepared with a vegetarian option offered. I think we must have hit the Seven Stars on a bad day as our meal was really not good, despite other reviewers praising it highly.

Just got back from a easter mini break at east burton house B & B - Took our 4 month old puppy with some trepidation as "dog friendly" isn't always that friendly! We needn't have worried they were great with Ollie and have a lovely big garden for her to run around in. The breakfast was excellant and the room was really big, comfortable and clean - we wondered if we would get an older room because of taking the dog but if we did the others must be fantastic. Location was really good as pubs within walking distance and away from the huge crowds that were in the bigger towns (swanage, lulworth etc).

We stayed here for one night and we thought it was great. The room was clean and tidy and had a nice feel to it, in keeping with a property of this age and character(17th century). We loved the illuminous moon and stars on the ceiling.

The place was very quiet and the bed was comfy so we got a good nights sleep. As it was a little cold we didn't get chance to spend any time in the garden but it looked very inviting and tranquil.

The breakfast was delicious and our host made sure that all our needs were catered for.

We ate in the Seven Stars in and can thoroughly recommend it although we did find it a little difficult to find in the pitch dark. This was because it was slightly further down the road than we expected and the dark put us off venturing beyond the light of the local houses and into the unknown. As we weren't even sure we were heading in the right direction we turned around and went back for the car which felt safer at night as the road has no pavement or street lights

The location of the B&B is perfect for trips to Monkey World(5 mins) and the Jurassic coast(15 mins)

Very pleasant stay

We were made to feel very welcome and thought the room was lovely, especially the view over the well-kept and pretty garden. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day!
We would not hesitate to recommend East Burton House and are already planning to make another visit.
