“Well equipped cottage and perfect location for the Yorkshire Three Peaks”
Reviewed October 4, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Myself and three friends visited for two nights. The cottage had all the amenities we could have asked for, was immaculately decorated and perfectly located for the Three Peaks. Carol went to the trouble of providing us with a list of good eateries in nearby Giggleswick and Settle which we took advantage of. The welcome pack was a nice touch and the cottage soon became our home from home for a fantastic few days.

“Super cottage in lovely area!”
Reviewed September 16, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Had a 3 night break with two other couples. A spacious and excellently equipped cottage, with plenty of kitchen appliances and equipment.
Situated just outside the lovely Dales town of Settle, you are spoilt the for the numerous stunning walks in the area.we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and Bankwell is on my list to return for another break!

“Great Base for Exploring the Dales”
Reviewed August 28, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We were a group of 6 adults (3 couples) and we found the layout and amenities of the cottage perfect for our stay. The location was great for exploring the Dales and even slightly further afield when the weather was too wet for walking. Settle is within easy walking distance. There is a well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and also a well stocked DVD and games cupboard. The wifi worked splendidly (unlike in other holiday cottages we have stayed in!). The only downside was the bathroom lock which had a definite 'knack' to it - good job we're all old friends! Thanks Carole for making our stay a pleasant one.

“Relaxing break”
Reviewed July 3, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Just spent a very enjoyable 5 night break at Bankwell cottage Giggleswick. The cottage is set in a lovely little lane which was unexpectedly very busy with traffic but yet peacefully quiet. The cottage was very well equipped and tastefully furnished and cosy. The downstairs shower room and toilet was great and important for us due to the age and mobility of some of our group. Unfortunately I had read the cottage description wrongly and thought there was also one of the bedrooms downstairs, but all worked out well. Carol gave lots of good advice on places to go and places to eat. I can heartily recommend The Black Horse Inn and Talbot Arms for dinner and The Naked Man Cafe for coffee and cake. The Giggleswick School Chapel is a must see even if a rigmarole to get the key and access. Carol provided a lovely starter pack with a delicious lemon cake in it, which was very much appreciated by all our group members. Heartily recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a lovely base to explore the surrounding countryside. The beds in Bankwell Cottage give a comfortable nights rest at the end of a long day exploring.

“Gorgeous cottage in lovely location - highly recommend”
Reviewed May 10, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

I have never stayed in such a well stocked cottage - there is everything you need!! Plenty utensils, crockery, cleaning things, games, DVDs, magazines, books, baby equipment.....! The cottage was spacious, beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Rooms were well furnished and comfortable. Lovely little garden.

Very peaceful location and well placed for touring or staying local. Lots of nice walks (in hills or on the flat), great swing park and football field on the doorstep. Swimming pool very close. About 10 mins walk to Settle where there are great pubs, cafes and shops. Ye Olde Naked Man is worth a visit for tasty home cooked food.

Only VERY minor gripe was having to be out by 11 on departure day - only because it was such a lovely cottage and we were so relaxed staying there!

“Beautiful Cottage with Excellent Facilities”

We stayed for 3 nights in January 2016 and enjoyed every moment of our time spent in this wonderful holiday cottage.

We were treated to a warm welcome by Carol, the owner, who provided us with all the information we would need and was happy to answer any questions we had.

The facilities at the cottage were outstanding and the bath deserves a special mention. Extremely pleased with everything and would recommend anyone looking for a Dales adventure, to give this cottage a try.
