“Amazing!”
Reviewed August 31, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The cost of a peak time August week was very expensive and I was in two minds about booking but as soon as we arrived we were so pleased we had gone ahead. This really is the best location and property we have ever stayed at. From the lounge there's a 180 degree view through floor to ceiling windows taking in the lagoon, the large garden and finally the river at the end of the garden. Twice we spotted an otter swimming in the lagoon and every day three herons perched there in the trees. In the large garden there are tables and chairs in at least four areas so whatever the time of day there's a sunny spot to sit and eat in (weather permitting!). The rooms are large and comfortably furnished and the property is spotlessly clean. It's about a five minute walk to the small village. We recommend the deli and the butchers for delicious home made pies and other produce. This is the ideal property in which to relax and chill out.

“Idyllic location”
Reviewed June 22, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Noosa Sound is stunningly located on a lagoon overlooking the River Bure. The lovely surrounding gardens were daily visited by geese, ducks and herons. Being early March, there was very little river traffic, no sound except for the wildlife, and if it is peace and relaxation you strive for, I would suggest visiting out of season. Everything is at walking distance from the house - pubs, restaurants, teashops/gallery, and small supermarkets.
Hire a boat from the boatyard, virtually next door, for reasonable price and very good service. We drove our boat past Wroxham and the houses on the river are remarkable. Very reminiscent of parts of Holland. The accommodation of the Bungalow was very good, and it was lovely to sit in the lounge with the full length windows on three sides overlooking the lagoon and the river. A perfect holiday.

“Perfect Home from Home”
Reviewed May 25, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A most beautiful spot in peaceful picturesque surroundings, a lovely garden with your own private nature reserve. Just one of many experiences - we were having breakfast one morning whilst watching the Swan family and their 8 cygnets return to their nest.

There is everything you need in the village and everyone is pleasant and friendly. The local shops are very good and there are so many nice Pubs to choose from. The Fish Restaurant is excellent - would advise booking in advance if going Friday/Saturday.

The bungalow is nicely furnished, very comfortable, cosy and warm, very much home from home – the ideal place for a totally relaxing get away from it all. The owners are very caring and it’s so nice that they want to share their lovely home for everyone to enjoy.

“Outstanding”
Reviewed April 19, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The loudest noise you will have to endure at Noosa Sound is the birds singing, the lapping of the river at the end of the garden and the low hum of the boats as they pass. All this while you either sit out in the garden or on the private mooring that this property enjoys....or in the lounge with its large patio door/windows where you can glance up from your book and see what the ducks are up to or a enjoy a boat with large white sails drift by.
The house is immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed and a smart new bathroom; the kitchen is a good size with everything you would need including a dishwasher. I glanced out the kitchen window and counted six ducklings with their mum and dad plus a moor Hen looking anxious on its' nest.
There is so much to do in the area from NT properties to coastal walks to fishing to boats on the Broads.
Go and enjoy!

“A delightful, peaceful get a way”
Reviewed March 28, 2015 for a stay in May 2014

Thoroughly enjoyable stay. A lot of places claim to be a peaceful getaway but this really is. Couldn't be better located for the broads, close to the village centre and ideal spot for the bird watching enthusiast. Bring plenty of duck food though.
The village has good pubs(walking distance) as well as an excellent fish restaurant (book early if going on a Friday and Saturday).
The property provides for a very comfortable stay.
We have booked again for 2015
