Booked in for a short stay in their Attic Room, which is pure luxury. The staff were very friendly and professional.

This hotel is first class, and compare's to hotels like the Raddisson's

Would we stay again? oh yes!

To be honest we are locals (had free bus passes for too long now!). We are regular patrons of the hotel and never fail to appreciate the warm welcome on arrival and the feeling of being wanted. The staff so attentive. This is not a snooty hotel but on the other hand it is certainly not a pub (serving grotty pub food). This is a quality hotel. Just the sort of place we could spend a week in and really relax.

We often have our Sunday lunches and regularly bring our family here for special occassions. They never let us down and this is our way of thanking them for the way they do things.

My wife and self are of an age where we like some respect. Why not? The staff at The Lodge seem to do this with their gentle style. Nice and gentle in fact.

We always book our Xmas Day lunches here (early). Never miss. It has gentle atmosphere. Oh yes, and warmth.

Lovely.

We chose the Lodge for my pre birthday celebration with our family. There were 20 of us including 7 grandchildren whose ages ranged from 6 months to 14 years. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were superb and the atmosphere warm, welcoming and relaxing. The food was absolutely delicious. We had our own section of the dining room which meant that the children could be with us throughout the evening. The rooms were perfect. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

We stayed at the Lodge with our son and his wife, and two grandchildren. We had the Loft and Attic rooms. The rooms were joined by a small hallway so our grandchildren were able to move between the two rooms easily. It also allowed the adults to spend time together in the evening knowing that the children were safe. The rooms were large and well furnished. The food was excellent, as were the staff. It was only a short walk (5min) to very sandy beaches and lovely sand dunes. The place has real charm. We plan to stay there again when we visit our family who live and work in Cambridge.

Room Tip: the rooms at he top are great for families. The Loft and the Attic. It allows the kids to roam bac...
