“Great Value for Money”

We stayed three nights and had a wonderful time.. The owner Nicola and her son were very welcoming and helpful. Holly Cottage Barn is a great base, not far from Canterbury and easy to get to Folkestone, Whitstable etc. As we took our dog, the surrounding area of common land was great for walking.

“Quiet little hideaway in a lovely village”

This is a small cottage behind and above a garage with lovely views out over fields and countryside. The kitchen is small but fully equipped, the bed comfortable and everything clean and tidy. The village has a shop and post office and many walks. There is a windmill open on Sundays in the summer, and they serve cream teas. It is an excellent base for exploring Canterbury and East Kent. The owner is lovely and was very understanding of us muddling up our dates and staying an extra night. We often stay in Kent to visit family and will definitely book again.

“Perfect for the price.”

My wife, baby and I needed to stay locally for a longer period of time due to our circumstance. Holly Cottage Barn suited us perfectly. Nicola was a great understanding host and was very good to us.
It has an open area to walk for miles at the doorstep and stunning views; especially the sunset. Comfy Double bed with all amenities that we needed.

With this property you get exactly what it says on the tin, it's not trying to be more than a good standard holiday home.

“Disappointing”

Although this accommodation was in a beautiful location, it was a very disappointing Christmas break for us. The property had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. The bed was small, lumpy and uncomfortable. The sofa was in a very poor state of repair and badly needed replacing. The bathroom heater was not working and the TV remote control was missing. The bathroom had been badly designed: the bath was under a sloping ceiling so you couldn't stand up when getting out of the bath.. Fortunately we spent most of our time visiting family and friends so this was only used as a base in the evenings...

“Quiet location near Canterbury”

I have just returned from a very relaxing long weekend at Holly Cottage Barn. I liked the view across the fields to woodland in the distance from the main window and the whole of the upstairs is very light and open.

It is in a very quiet spot on the edge of a small village, but Canterbury is only 15 minutes away by car. (When I drove to Canterbury I used the park-and-ride which worked well for me.)

The owner, Nicola, is very welcoming and friendly and lives in the adjoining house.

Would recommend.

“Great Stay ! Perfect for Us and Our Dog”

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! Holly Cottage Barn is central to all the places we wanted to visit with a reasonable drive time to the destinations.
We brought our dog along who was also made welcome when we arrived! The owner of the Cottage, Nicola was lovely and welcoming!
Not a very long walk at all to the village pub which also allowed dogs and served great food.
The view in the mornings from the main window made our visit just the bit more special.
We will definitely want to visit again! Would recommend it to anyone.
All in all a wonderful stay just perfect for us and very good price too.

We've been back to the barn 3 times now. We love the village and the location. Its perfect for us and our dog. Lovely walks around the area, a great village shop and pub. Love the peace and quiet and the easy access to Canterbury and Folkestone.
