We stayed for two nights as a family, in two rooms. The front of the house dates back to 1550, but the rooms are at the back, which is a modern extension. The rooms are simply decorated and furnished with solid oak furniture. The breakfast has everything - fresh fruit salad, yogurt, choice of cereals, fresh fruit juice, toast with three kinds of home made jam and a whole menu of cooked options. We ate much too much. The service is prompt and very friendly.
We were on a cycling holiday and found the B&B was a good base to explore Canterbury, as it is just off the part of the national cycling route 1, which runs from Canterbury to Sandwich on little back roads, through bluebell woods and beautiful places like Fordwich.More
