We only arranged this visit at the last minute, and found this b&b on the visit canterbury web site. We received a warm welcome and were shown to a lovely modern room with an excellent en-suite. Everything immaculately clean, and also a well stocked tea/coffee tray. Breakfast was excellent, with several options to choose from. We would recommend this establishment highly.

Warm welcome and lovely room with views over countryside. Our room was en-suite with a shower and was VERY modern and clean. Bedroom was tastefully furnished and bed was very comfortable. It was a very hot night when we stayed but by leaving bathroom and bedroom windows open we were able to achieve a through draught which made temperature very acceptable. We wished to leave fairly early so only requested a simple breakfast, but this was more than adequate and the choice on offer was excellent. It was a 5 - 10 minute drive into the middle of Canterbury so car probably needed but plenty of parking and route into Canterbury very simple (especially if you use Wincheap Park and Ride which is between B & B and city centre). Overall can't recommend this B & B highly enough.

We highly recommend staying in this B&B.

We travelled with me and my girlfriend's parents in a group of 5 and booked 3 bedrooms to stay 1 night in this excellent B&B. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and come with many extras. The bathrooms were equally nice, the shared bathroom on the first floor was immaculately clean and came with a large shower and a whirlpool bath tub!

The owners were very welcoming and friendly, breakfast was amazing and you get to choose from a large selection of dishes. There is plenty of parking outside the house, which is approx. 5 minutes into Canterbury by car. Compared to other B&Bs in Canterbury and considering the quality of this B&B, staying over was fairly cheap.

Woodlands is just a 10 minute drive from Canterbury, but is in the quiet and peaceful village of Chartham Hatch. Woodlands has pelnty of off-street parking. We had a very warm welcome from Mrs Jaques. Our bedroom was a good size, with good quality furniture, a hospitality tray and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was roomy and bright with a modern shower cubicle. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice and hot dishes made with local free range eggs and local produce, home made marmalade and jam. If you want to be conveniently situated to Canterbury but want a peaceful and comfortable night's sleep this is the place for you. Highly recommended. Do also have a meal at the nearby Chapter Arms (see separate review).

Our room is large, very clean and very comfortable. Likewise the bathroom is spacious, brightly lit, and very clean, and has both a shower and spa tub. Breakfast is a feast with a selection of hot options. I think its great value especially considering we went during Easter and paid similar prices to chain hotels, but this B&B is much higher quality & includes a lovely breakfast! The owners are a very friendly & lovely couple.
