Description: This is what we do. We are a Caribbean restaurant that gives a great service and heart full meal. I have been a fisher-man for over 14years and started this restaurant with my wife while fishing now I just have the fish deliver fresh. We have a small terrace seat up to 16-18 persons and interior more spacious, If your searching a real CARIBBEAN restaurant we are the one. Our menu is design to take you to Jamaica, Haiti, or even Guadeloupe and back to Saint Martin. We cook with soul in the kitchen every meal we take our time to make sure its well done for you. It can take time but nothing good come easy. Grantee the best.

“Taste of Paradise”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

When we travel on vacation, we love to find those hidden gems that transform our holiday experience. Well, we found just that with Jam Rock. Jam Rock cafe and restaurant is well worth the trek. We were greeted warmly by both of the owners Mathieu and his lovely wife Sherine. Even though we only experienced the abbreviated menu served during low season, we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Both our spicy chicken wings and shrimp appetizers were out of this world with flavor. We highly recommend having both. My husband enjoyed the fresh local catch Baliste. My children and I opted for the traditional Jamaican favorites of Ackee and saltfish, curried chicken and curried goat. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. The service and individual attention created a very inviting, relaxing and enjoyable experience, which we have come to appreciate when traveling in the Caribbean. No trip to St. Maarten would be complete without dining at Jam Rock. Reservations are recommended during the high season.

“Phenomenal.”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

Skip your next dinner in Grand Case or hotel restaurant where you see the same things repeated on the menu, "Grilled Fresh Catch of the Day", "Lobster bisque", etc, and enjoy a low-key, neighborhood eatery in Cul De Sac, serving up some authentic Jamaican specialties and fresh local seafood. And by Day 2, most everyone is tired of the super rich, cream and butter based sauces over fish, no? At Jam Rock, you will taste how fresh the ingredients are, as they are hand picked by the owner, a former fisherman himself. The kitchen is ruled by the owner's mother-in-law, and shoot, if your mother-in-law cooked as good as she does, you'd call her Queen Bee too. Salt cod ackee and the grilled shrimp appetizer was the highlight for our group, we were tempted to order more shrimp for dessert! You will leave this restaurant with a renewed appreciation for Caribbean cuisine and feeling lucky that you stopped in to experience this amazing culinary adventure. And next time you're back in St. Martin, you will be sure to be back at Jam Rock on Day 1 because now...you just know better.

“Better than Grand Case”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

After a few nights dining out at Grand Case we were looking for something different. We found this hidden gem while driving around Orient Bay and Anse Marcel.

Yes, it's a bit out of the way but hands down, this was the best meal of our trip. Simple, fresh meals cooked by a Jamaican mother/daughter duo. In the front of the house, is the daughter's husband who engaged in friendly conversation with our family.

He revealed that he had been a fisherman and he had refurbished the entire place with his own hands. Understated but full of charm, the atmosphere at Jam Rock is like dining at your friend's house. The music puts the final touch on this relaxing eatery.

The grilled shrimp appetizer was dressed simply with a pepper relish and really let the quality of the shrimp speak for itself. The Jamaican ackee and saltfish specialty was my favorite dish - you really feel like you're at your Jamaican grandma's house.

When you're ready for a break from the typical French fare on the island and have the best meal of your vacation, go to Jam Rock for some unique and authentic Caribbean food.

“We loved Jam Rock!!!!”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

We arrived in St. Maarten on a Sunday and wanted to start our vacation with some good island food. We made a reservation from Chicago after reading all the great reviews. Let me just keep it simple, Jam Rock was everything we were looking for and so much more! Right from the start we felt welcome. Mathew greeted us and showed us to our table which was set up beautifully on the deck. The food was outstanding especially the Jerk Chicken and the Currie Red Snapper. If your looking for a unique experience don't miss Jam Rock! Thanks again.
