Taitu is a diamond in the rough. Great French / Creole food. Prices are moderate. Owner is friendly and full of advise about this beautiful Island.

“neighborhood joy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2012

What a delight to have discovered this neighborhood restaurant on rue Mont Vernon. Delicious crab farcie, other creole and french choices. All that we tasted was delicious. Outside of the densely populated restaurant row, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. Service was professional and warm. Many thanks for taking care of us.

“Love their 'local' dishes !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

When visiting the island of Sint Maarten, do not forget to have lunch or diner at Le Taitu. A great value for money and one of the few places where quality and authenticy is more important than quantity. Everybody will be happy: Their menu features classics as well as local or locally inspired dishes like stuffed crab and christophines, stew of goat or conch and mahi mahi. Le Taitu always offers interesting dishes apart from the main menu. For us, residents of Sint Maarten, reason enough to enjoy their chef's dishes regularly. I almost forget to mention their nice wines and desserts!

“Best value for money in Saint Martin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2012

We have dined here regularly since 1994. IMHO, it is the best value for money on the island. I recommend the Tuna Steak, with soy sauce - it is so tasty. Enjoy!

“Our Favorite..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2012

This little out of the way restaurant between Orient Village and Grand Case is well worth the search. Outstanding food. As good as any in Grand Case and at reasonable prices. We have been going to this place since we started coming to St Martin about 7 years ago. The service is fine and the food terrific. Give it a try.
