Although the cafe is in a superb position I had a very disappointing visit. The staff were so miserable and unhelpful. But the biggest disappointment was the crab sandwich - unlike other crab sandwiches in and around Cromer which is famous for its crab, this sandwich had hardly any crab in it. In fact I could only just taste the crab in about three bites of the sandwich - the other nine bites were just brown bread and the bread appeared to be the cheap supermarket budget bread. I should have complained as I really did feel cheated but the cafe was very busy and I would have found it awkward.

This was fine. Nothing wrong with the tea and my teapot didn't dribble. Wide range of snacks including cake, toasted teacakes etc. Neat little garden facing the sea.

Finally got round to going to this cafe. As another reviewer has mentioned, you end up dribbling more of your tea on the table than you do in your cup. Metal teapots are depressing at the best of times but even more so when they're not fit for purpose. Glasses and cups are tired and old. Everything is overpriced. Generally disappointing all round.

Overheard other customers complaining about their £8.50 hot lunches but as I didn't try these I can't give my opinion.

If you're in Overstrand and looking for a decent cuppa to warm you up, may I suggest you bring a flask.

On a different note there is a great ice cream van in the St Paul's Road car park selling fantastic homemade ice cream. Treat yourself :)

A wonderful place to sit and watch the sea. Great food (plenty of vegetarian options) and great service from Lorraine and her team. Highly recommended
