There were only us in the restaurant. We were welcomed and was asked if we wanted fish or meat. We went for fish. About 7 excellent dishes later, that all was a surprise the fish came as the main course. The fish was a disappointment after all the other really creative and yeast full dishes. Nothing wrong with it just that it was a ordinary grilld fish with chips. The dessert was good and the wine form the next door bodega was alright. The interior design was nothing special. The girl that served us was friendly and helpful despite the languish problems. The chef was also at our table to look after us.

We went on a Sunday in July. Service was friendly and quite playful. We ended up with the Sunday menú with prawns, clams, a cheese salad and kebabs as starters plus the traditional rabbit and snail rice (paella) plus a fruit salad served in a hollowed out melon plus the coffee for a reasonable 30€.

The wine, something ordinary enough but D.O for an extra 8€ and we were charged 1.50€ for a bottle of water too.

So 99.50€ for three of us for an interesting and tasty meal served in pleasant surroundings with friendly staff. as good as anything around here.

We, my boyfriend and I, were just stopping by for a quick lunch, not knowing what to expect of the restaurant by the highway in El Manyar, between Monovar and Pinoso.
The owner doesn't speak English and sadly our Spanish is very limited at the moment, but we managed to order the meat, (having the option to chose between Todays Fish or Todays Meat). While we were waiting for our meat the server came with a plate of toasted almonds, cheese and salami, then mussles in olive oil with herbs from the garden, tomato with warm gourmet buffalo mozzarella, tempura fried scamp with homemade aioli and the most heavenly tasting chicken sqewers. Each dish a gastronomical surprise, simple dishes, amazing flavors. The steak was then followed by a uniqe and playful fruit salad, coffee and warm marengs. Heavenly. We had no idea what the cost of this, 4 beers, 4 shots and 2 GT would be and we were almost laughing when it only came to 76 euros. A lot more than our regular sandwich lunches, but it was worth every penny!! The service did of course match the standard of the food -top notch!
The restaurant was half full, but its still intimate and if you want its possible to rent a chambre separet.
Open for lunch on weekdays and dinners during the weekend. Absolute worth a detour if you are driving through Spain or a 30min taxidrive from Alicante.
