Very comfortable room, bed etc. nice big slipper bath and all the comforts.
Great breakfast and a very warm welcome from Lisa and Ian. Helpful with local events and places to eat. Good location for exploring North Norfolk.
Thoroughly recommend

We stayed for two nights in this lovely guest house while visiting family, holidaying in nearby Wells. Ian and Lisa made us feel very welcome, helped by the fresh pot of tea on arrival, served in the tasteful, comfortable guest lounge. Our room was spacious, very clean and the huge bathroom with roll top bath a real luxury. To describe our accomodation accurately it is really a self contained suite. The king sized bed, with quality bed linen, was extremely comfortable and personal touches like the minneral water and toiletries rival many fivestar hotels. We have not stayed in a guest house for many years and are very discerning (fussy!) guests; usually staying in four or fivestar hotels. However this wonderful establishment has caused us to re-think this policy. Ian and Lisa are friendly, professional and fun- happy to chat and share their local knowledge but also very unobtrusive; the ideal hosts. The breakfasts were amazing (Ian is a trained chef) and served at a time to suit you. Lisa and Iain have extensive experience of running successful hotels and it shows. We shall return and have no hesitation in highly recommending Chalk House Farm and its delightful hosts.

Just returned from my third visit to this most excellent B&B destination in 13 months. Once again felt that we where treated like royalty. It seems that the more we visit the more we are treated like a member of the family. Stayed in the shower room overlooking the church better view than I get at home. Had a fantastic meal at Sands in Wells on the quay and enjoyed their Italian evening eating Tomato crusted local caught cod and my wife a pizza. Better value for money than the £14 spent on fish and chips the night previous .Once again a big thank you to Ian and Lisa for making us feel at home and Ian for his fantastic breakfasts each morning.

This was our second visit to Chalk Farm House for my wife and me, but this time we had our teenage daughter (cue scary music). We had a few days free at the end of May, and our thoughts immediately went to this lovely village of Wighton and a certain B&B (although 'B&B doesn't do it justice).

Once again, hosts Ian and Lisa went well above and beyond the call of duty, making us feel as though we had come to stay with longstanding friends, such was the welcome. Indeed, after unpacking our bags our daughter asked, 'When can we come again?' (praise indeed!).

The rooms are light and airy, and the beds are very comfortable - too comfortable when it comes to having to get up!

Breakfast is a real treat, ranging from beautifully prepared fruit to a sumptuous full English, designed to set you up for the day. No dodgy cooking here: Ian is a master who prepares the perfect breakfast before your very eyes. One word says it - wonderful.

Ian and Lisa are the hosts you really want. They are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and make you feel as though you are at a true home from home. They strike the perfect balance on all fronts.

Chalk Farm House is as good as it gets, and I'd recommend it to anyone without hesitation. The location is wonderful, the accommodation is first class, and Lisa and Ian cannot be bettered - simple as that!

Do not miss out on this little piece of get-away perfection!

Room Tip: Two lovely rooms: one with bath; one with shower. Go with your preference. Just don't miss out.

Second visit just as good as the first but with the bonus of a log fire in the lounge better than being at home. Pub still not open but never mind Lisa and Ian not bothered that we took food back to eat in lounge. Will be back again sometime in the new year and looking forward to enjoying more fine hospitality . thanks to you both.
