My better half and I stayed here recently. Its like a well worn book, alittle rough around the edges albeit under renovation whilst there so can only guess this argues well for the future. We stayed in the suite room which was quite large & clean enough. All the amenities worked; was inclusive of a stocked mini-bar. All in all relatively comfortable, albeit for the price having no wi-fi in the room, and tv signal of dubious quality was a little ordinary.
The resort facilities are ok, the pool looked a little dirty. The beach front is nothing at all to rave about. At an extra charge you can take a raft out onto the water, and they have a diving shop of sorts attached to the hotel.
The lobby and restaurant is tastefully decorated, and is the only place where you can pick up wi-fi, and although free it is terribly sketchy. The restaurant serves lovely food, and they have a nice selection of beer, wine and spirits. The staff were really lovely as well. These were probably the highlights really.
The security of the compound is good; you cannot bring in any outside food or drinks, but hotel prices were very reasonable. The village itself is nothing to rave about either, only a few shops selling some tacky tourist paraphernalia.More
