“Yummy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

We found this place purely by chance, while driving round. It's a lovely setting with award winning pies.It had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. My hubby had a pie and mash which he really enjoyed, while I just had the cream tea.Unfortunatly this was a bit of a let down as I hate cherrys and sypathetic cream,so I just put butter on my delicious scone. We brought take aways home as well. Then we had a look round the art gallery and shop.Lovely

“Freshly cooked and well presented food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

I enjoyed my recent lunch at the Barns, having never been there before.
The freshly cooked pies and tarts were lovely but very small for the money and the salad was really not much more than a garnish.
The cakes looked good but the coffee and walnut sponge was very stale indeed.
The cakes in general were not as delicious as they looked and were so dry as to be difficult to swallow.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings pleasant and clean.
There was only one toilet for everyone though. there seemed to be a queue most of the time and the restaurant was far from busy the day I was there.

“Pies to die for!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

Found this cafe on Tripadvisor and when in the area stopped for lunch. They serve beautiful pies and other dishes as well as amazing cakes and pastries. It is out of the way but very popular. We can see why. The food was very pleasantly served, delicious to eat and reasonably priced. People also came in to buy the pies to take home with them. Wish we had!! A really fine place in a beautiful part of Norfolk.

“The best Sunday Lunch ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 28, 2013

This is a fantastic gem of a cafe, situated in the heart of north Norfolk. From the time we arrived to the moment we left we were treated to the best hospitality and the best Sunday lunch ever. We will be back for sure, I just hope that there will be room once everyone finds out about this place!

“GREAT PLACE TO EAT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

It was cold outside and we were hungry, but we certainly weren't when we came out. What a surprise find - lovely atmosphere and the staff went out of their way to clear a table for us not normally used for diners as all the other tables had been reserved or were in use. The cafe was warm and inviting and the choice on the menu was outstanding. We chose the Mushroom, Thyme and Garlic soup and it was absolutely delicious. It was piping hot and came with a lovely selection of breads. Great value for money. Sitting right by the counter where the cakes were displayed it was hard not resist. You don't just get a piece of cake - it comes with cream and compote !!! We only go to Walsingham once a year just to see the snowdrops in the Abbey grounds, but think the car might be drawn towards Walsingham more often !!!! Well done and we can certainly recommend it to anyone going to see the snowdrops. Go for lunch first and then you will be well fed before your walk.
