Owner description: Enjoy the amazing animals at this beautiful park, in the leafy New Forest, with its fabulous adventure playgrounds. Follow the woodland trails to see wallaby, European bison, wolves, wild boar, Scottish wildcats, lynx, foxes, pine marten, polecats, owls and ferrets. Meet the friendly deer and say hi to the playful otters, including the endangered giant otter. Feeding sessions, keeper talks and special events year round. Amazing playgrounds for under 6's and from 6yrs to 86yrs!!!

“Excellent attraction well worth visiting”

We took a really enjoyable walk through the forest from Ashurst to the wildlife centre for a return visit, having previously visited it a few years ago.We enjoyed it even more this time with ample opportunity to spend time viewing and watching the antics of a variety of animals ranging from the comical otters, the wild cats, the deer that attach themselves to you and follow you around the park and the wallabies(including an endearing white one). The wolves look menacing as they patrol their huge compound, and although the tropical butterfly house was closed due to the time of year and the temperature,it was a lovely afternoon and well worth the admission fee. There is an excellent cafe on site open to visitors and non visitors to the wildlife park and ample parking for those visitors arriving by car.Throughout the site there are numerous information boards giving interesting facts about various animals or insects and plenty of staff around who are very willing to answer questions etc. This is an excellent day out!

“Enjoyable but quite expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

Visited on a recent Sunday. Not many people about. Rather a strange cross section of animals, ranging from wolves to bison to wallabies to owls. I have seen much better viewing opportunities for birds at other similar attractions. What looked like an excellent play area for children

“pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

despite it being one of the coldest days of the week we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (my 2 grandchildren and my wife) , despite the recent bad weather the paths were dry and mud free, the park itself was more than I expected the areas that the animals are kept in are large and as near to natural settings as they can be (the wolf enclosure must be at least 2-3 acres, as are the deer parks) otters can be seen from inside and outside of their pens, the adventure parks for the children is amazing my grandchildren kept wanting to go back and play there. I would love to go back in the summer when the weather is warmer and see the young animals and the butterfly area , this is definitely a place to go and enjoy

Wasn't expecting much as had never heard of it only though a friend , I went with my son of 7 and nephew of 5 . There was loads to see we didn't need to hurry and took are time looking at everything ... Went to watch feeding times where the people answered all the questions my little one throw at them .... There was two play areas one for younger ones and one for older kids my two liked both .. The gift shop was not dear so the boys got lots of postcards of what they had seen really can't say a bad thing ... Loved it will def go back

“Excellent day out”

A wonderful place for all ages. We didn't have children with us but I could see it would be easy for them to learn about the animals without being forced to. I especially liked the deers, especially the one who decided to follow me around for about 20 minutes like a little dog! I highly recommend the park to everyone.
