“Fantastic day out great value for money !”

What a brilliant day out for families so much to do really hands on with the animals . From feeding the baby calves pigs goats ducks etc to cuddle corner where u can brush the baby goats and bunnies and have a cuddle with a tiny chick and maybe you might find a freshly laid egg! A ride on the big tractor ( no extra charge) and small tractors and cars, an indoor area for toddlers , table tennis and soft play areas to name just some . We took a two years old who loved it although mainly aimed at younger children there were plenty who were up to 12 years old who enjoyed the day as did we adults. Great value for money friendly helpful staff well laid out and easy to get to what more could you want ? Maybe a ride on a pony .. Only £3 extra you don't have to queue as you get a number and a refund if they decide they don't want to ride ... We weren't too sure she would but our little one loved it so much she didn't need mum to walk with her !!!

“Fun on the farm”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We walked to the farm along the main road from our camp site in Ashurst so unable to comment on parking.

On arrival we were provided with the leaflet outlining all the times of the different activities. We arrived just in time to feed the goats. There was plenty of feed for everyone to have a few plates to feed the goats who were very eager to be fed :-) We enjoyed the small animals (handling the little chicks), feeding the baby calves their milk and the tractor rides.

Although we didn't do all the animal activities, those that we did we enjoyed, plus you could walk in and out of all the farm sheds to see the animals.

We took our own lunch with us which we were able to eat at the many picnic tables available. So we did not purchase any food from the farm tea room.

The baby change/disabled toilet we used was spacious but not the cleanest we've ever used. However, we did notice that there was a further nappy change area in a portacabin with two nappy change stations. However, one was on full view so no privacy. Frosted glass would have been sensible.

There is an indoor play area, table tennis tables which the adults in our group couldn't help but having a turn, a playground area, a couple of areas with ride on tractors & cars. Plus a big hay barn for your little ones to run off some steam.

This is a very good family day out. We really enjoyed our trip to the farm.

“So much fun for the children!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

Initial feeling was ouch, expensive! But good value, and so interactive! Even I couldn't stop myself joining in feeding the baby goats with a warm bottle of milk. There is so much to do and see, and so much for the children, including ball pits, trampolines, feeding times for all the animals and tractor rides all included! There was a place to wash your hands around every corner, and a nice cup of tea place for the big people! The staff were great too! And on the way out a gift shop and a farm shop with home made sausages!! Keep up the good work!

“Mixed feelings”
Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

We arrived at the farm yesterday ( about 3.20pm after visiting another attraction earlier on in the day.
Even though last admission is at 4pm, and the farm closes at 5pm we were still charged full price! And yes I appreciate, it was us who turned up at that time, but feel, on what's to offer at that time they should maybe have a reduced rate?
Overall, we did have fun, the animals were very interesting and my two year old enjoyed the tractor ride very much.
But the farm, although you do state it's a working farm, really needs some TLC. Because although its a working farm, it's still open to the public which makes it a tourist attraction.
The toilets were rank, tissue literally everywhere in them, no soap in the dispensers, including outside where the animal enclosures were.
Plenty to do here, we wished we had come earlier to witness the feeding times etc, we would of felt then we got our monies worth. But unfortunately, we didn't this time.
Would we return? Maybe, my son and nephew did enjoy themselves for the little time we were there, but it defiantly needs a good clean up.
Staff very friendly, decent shop.
Didn't visit tea room because wasn't open.
Reasonable sized play areas, a lot of farm animals, and was nice to see in the chicks enclosure you could help yourself to eggs to buy.
We were also lucky it wasn't that busy at the time but still, if we had spent a full day there, would agree with the price. So maybe for late comers like us, prices should be slashed a little bit?

“Grandsons and tractors!”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Took our 2 year old Grandson here and had a lovely afternoon. Although he is a little young to enjoy everything he loved the free tractor ride and the baby animal handling activity. They really have worked hard to provide a lovely and interesting setting for everyone, a sandpit for toddlers, ball park for older children plus of course all the animals to see. You can take a picnic and the entry price is reasonable, free for under 2s and about £8.00 per adult.
