We stayed for three nights at this lovely B&B and were made to feel most welcome from the moment we arrived. Traveling with two small children, it was great to have a host that never made them feel left out and often gave them special attention. The room was fantastic and made up of two bedrooms giving our girls a lovely room of their own with a great view to the front for pony and pig watching. Our room was also nice with tv and kettle etc. The shower at first was a bit of a shock as it was quite loud but it was a great power shower dragging you back in when you should really be getting out. The noise did drown out the dreadful singing, which was good for everyone else. Breakfasts were excellent with everything from fresh fruit to the full english and everything in between, nothing was too much trouble. Our two girls loved their breakfasts which included nice touches like peppa pig yoghurts, hot chocolate and tasty strawberries, mind you the beans on toast and bacon butties went down well also.
Our host "Jane" was excellent, she made us feel right at home and that awful worry of our kids upseting someone else disappeared the moment we met her. She was always interested in our daily plans and offered lots of advice about the local area.
The local area is one of the most beautiful places we as a family have been. I really can not recomend this part of the world enough, just go and see it for yourself.
We had some lovely evening meals at the Queens Head which were very reasonable, the real ales and peroni were pretty good too. The other pub in the centre of the village (The Burley Inn) was our first port of call and although it had some nice ales, it had no childrens menu so it lost our trade because of that. There are some interesting shops in Burley but the witch theme is spread a little thin and no one seems to have any other ideas on how part tourists from their money. Most of the gift shops we went in were not particularly welcoming and had it seemed people who would rather not be there. They certainly did themselves no favours as to making a sale. Whether it was because we were with two small children or not who knows but in our case it was the kids who spent the money. They really should try to inject some personality into their shops which had plenty of personality on their own, if allowed to show it.
The bike hire shop was not like the gift shops and proved to be a very worthwhile visit. Knowledgable and friendly staff providing us a family with the best way to take in the New Forest, with a stop at the White Buck Inn included.
We did venture as far as Peppa Pig Land and the coast while we were in the area and had a great time.
If you want to spend some time in a fantastic part of the world go and stay with Jane at the Forest Tea House, before she goes.

We stayed for three nights at this lovely B&B. Jane is incredibly welcoming and her breakfasts were perfect! She was really helpful and made us feel like we were one of the family while allowing us our space. The location means that it is only a 5 minute walk until you are in the beautiful surroundings of the National Park. Horses wander freely in front of the house, and the pubs are a matter of minutes away. We had a wonderful time.

We stayed in October for two nights - Jane made us feel wonderfully welcome from the start and on our first night gave us excellent directions a short walk down the road to the local pub, and gave us a torch to take with us as it's very dark at night.
The room was spacious and very clean, and had great facilities, and a lovely view. The breakfast was lovely and Jane was so accommodating, and we enjoyed her company in the mornings, and the company of her two little dogs and cat (usually she keeps them out of the breakfast room, but we enjoyed having them around!).
Jane is a wonderful host and I will definitely be returning early next year for another weekend getaway. The village of Burley is a lovely place to visit and Jane will recommend some lovely places to visit.
Couldn't recommend enough!!!

Room Tip: We had room number 4 at the back of the house, and it had a lovely view of the Cider Pantry, garden, and beyond that, the fields with cattle. Lovely spacious room, with a double and single bed, and ensuite.

Only a one night stay buy what a find.Jane made us welcome from the moment we arrived. Stayed in the room next door to the main house it was great, everything you could need. Ponies grazing outside the window, pig in the field opposite. A short walk to the village with great food in the pub. Take a torch as it is very dark at night, but Jane did offer us one if we did not have one.
Rouned off by a great breakfast in the morning a then a trip into the forest. Great place to stay.

We stayed in February for two nights and stayed in the little lodge attached to the main house as a short break away.
The owner mad us feel very welcome and showed us to the lodge where there was plenty of room and it was nice and clean with pine floors.
The owner even brought us some home made cake on the second day.
We had the cooked fresh lovely breakfast in the morning with no real time stipulations looking out onto the garden from the main house.
They have WIFI. and welcome dogs into the lodge.
Prices are reasonable and all together makes a FAB time away

Room Tip: If you have a dog go for the seperate lodge attached as is self contained from main house it also is dog friendly (Owner has cats but no bother at all)
