I popped in for a salt beef sandwich as I didn't want too much to eat because I was going out in the evening. It was fine, nothing to write home about, very simple. It was just bread, beef, gherkins and some mustard. The coffee I had was OK too. Service was attentive.
The sign outside advertises that they use local produce. Well, that isn't the case for the mince pies, which were still in their silver cases on the red plastic trays from the packet. That was pretty disappointing. Why not bake them or buy in from a local bakery rather than getting them from a supermarket?
There's nothing wrong with this café, but I think they could make a bit more of an effort.
