“Good place to chat to friends and unwind”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

Helpful happy staff and good food. One of the quieter pubs in Uxbridge. The clientelle are a friendly bunch and there is sufficient seating including a nook at the back with four tables in.

“Nice pub”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

A lovely lace for a few beers and unwind . A poor chap managed to spill beer all over himself and on the floor. The bar staff were so helpful and no bother to clean it up and they gave him a fresh pint for his embarassment. Nice place

“Best value in Uxbridge - lovely food, excellent prices and beer :)”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

The Queen's Head is located on Windsor Street, in the heart of Uxbridge.
We come here several times a week, either for lunch or in the evening.

The food menu is varied, and extremely well priced - simple, unpretentious food, cooked well. Staff take pride in what they cook and the quality of the food served is much better than places such as the Swan and Bottle or the Malt Shovel, at a fraction of the cost.
One of the beauties about their food is that it is not unnecessarily drenched in oil, and it is appealing to the health conscious (the salmon is always cooked to perfection).
Their burgers are great and the portions are always generous.

Staff are friendly, polite and attentive.

They also have a good selection of drinks, with guest ales being served on a regular basis.

An absolute gem.

“old fashioned values”
Reviewed April 28, 2012

I,ve been drinking and eating here since the days when pub food was a pickled egg and a bag of crisps. How its changed over the years! Phil, the landlord, is a proper landlord of the type seldom found these days, affable, knowledgeable and, well stout, sorry Phil. He keeps the best cellar by far in uxbridge, as you would expect from an old school Guvnor. The bitters change regularly and are never on sale until they are perfect. Food is spot on normal pub grub buts comes from the kitchen sizzling hot and well presented by caring staff. The bar team are always friendly and hot off the mark, trained by the best this lot. Atmosphere is low ceilings as befits a 16th century inn, clientele are the mature end of the market so no noisy kids just people who appreciate a quiet, relaxed drink. Only downside is the medieval plumbing, which you could argue adds to the experience, best after heavy rainfall! Try it.

“Great value, loads of history”
Reviewed April 6, 2012

Quite a small place, great value for money - best Sunday lunch I've had all year! Really good food, freindly staff, and loads of history attached to the place - in historical Windsor Street. Food stops at 9pm.
