Just returned from a long weekend staying in Tally Ho 2!
Booking was easy and communication from Donna (the owner) was easy from the offset, she was patient with my questions and quick to respond.
Tally Ho 2 is a lovely caravan- it doesn't even feel like a caravan, especially with the 2 outdoor decking areas, we were lucky with the weather and it was great to sit out on the veranda with a book watching the world go by. The hot tub is luxurious and the perfect way to end the day, relaxing in the bubbles looking up at the stars.
The caravan is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self-catering holiday, you basically just need your clothes and shower/hot tub towels and you're good to go!
I would maybe suggest to Donna that a small folding clothes airer would be a useful addition as we struggled to dry our swimming things on the night it rained, we could have placed an airer in the shower for them to drip dry- we managed and it's only a small suggestion.
The bed is really comfortable, this was a bit of a concern for us as we always sleep badly in caravans but not this time- we slept like logs! Bliss!
The basket of goodies left by Donna was a real treat and thoroughly appreciated.
Overall we had a really lovely stay and we're already looking at going back again, or maybe trying out one of Donna's other 2 lets on the same park.
One small point I would mention is that Tally Ho 2 is quite close to the main road, when we first arrived, I was a little disappointed by this as it hadn't been mentioned before in the description or in any of the reviews I'd read, after a few hours though I realised why- you genuinely just stop hearing it- it isn't crazy busy anyway and once you're reclined on a sun lounger or relaxing in the tub, the minimal noise just kind of isn't there anymore!
I would really recommend Tally Ho 2!

I booked this very last min for a birthday break with my 3year old daughter & husband for 3 nights. It's on the fishing lake development at Tattershall Lakes Country Park. Which is near the main road on the outskirts of the park. The caravan itself was well equipped very clean with the added bonus of a lovely sunken hot tub. The owners were super helpful and made us feel very welcome! When we arrived we received a lovely welcome basket stocked full of goodies and essentials. As I'd mentioned my bday the owner had left some lovely banners cards and other goodies out - This was such a lovely suprise and very kind! The caravan is beautifully furnished it has central heating, two bedrooms a sofa bed to sleep extra two people upto 6 the master bedroom with an en-suite toilet and a family shower room. The owners also provide free wifi router access (thumbs up!) a DVD player, family games, books and magazines.
There is an array of well stocked cuboards - Only thing missing was a hairdryer which I sadly disovered (doh!) They also provide bedding and HAND towels - take towels for hot tub and towels for caravan another mistake we made - as only took towels for hot tub! We ate in caravan first night but also tried Tattershall Country Park Pub practically on site - Was fine huge menu lovely surroundings - slightly put off by children attitude and being told to sit in a certain area for having a child?!? And then we drove 10 mins away to Woodhall Spa one night and had a super delicious meal in Zucci's which is a beautiful Mediterranean plush restaurant who were friendly attentive and great with our daughter! Unfortunately i think due to it still being out of season and work being carried out behind our caravan we encounted a bit of site noise so we spent most of the day out off site as the noise of bulldozers back and forth wasnt very relaxing - The owners were very apologetic & it was just unfortunate and totally out there hands and they did say theyd contact someone if it became problematic to us! Had it been warm and sunbathing weather it would have been but its March cold and luckily by 6pm it was finished and dark enough to jump in the hot tub!
We visited Sundown Adventure Park for under 10's which was nice but took 1hr20mins and only 33miles the roads are horrendous in Licolnshire lol and we visited 40min drive to Woodside Wildlife Park which is a must if you like that sort of thing like a mini zoo and we even got to hold a snake! Overall very happy and would defo return once the back of caravan is completed for the season!
I would definitely recommend this holiday property to all ages .The owners Donna and Trevor, were second to none for their friendliness and generosity. The welcome pack left for visitors was well thought out with all necessary items included for a good cuppa on arrival.Everything left ready, with beds made up.Lovely holiday area for all ages from young to not so young in the local facilities as well as on site. Loved the fishing ,with full fly past of various airplanes from the nearby Coningsby RAF base nearby.Loved it all especially the hot tub with a glass of wine ..
We just arrived back home today from Tally Ho 2 ! we found the caravan to be excellent and to a high standard well looked after and well equipped and it felt really homely.
The hot tub was a great addition on the holiday and we used at the end of each day to wind down and chill........ hmmm maybe chill is the wrong word as it was hot in the tub :- ) but you know what I mean.
The caravan is sited in a tranquil part of the park in lovely soundings close to the fishing lake, the park setting has some fantastic walks and I don't think we managed to explore all of them on this visit.
Donna was a brilliant host and the booking experience was second to none, nothing being any trouble even when we booked at exceptionally very short she promised the caravan would be ready on time and it was ready way before the designated time.
The thing we learnt from this holiday is that Donna really values her personal touch's she provides to your holiday and seems to get great satisfaction from providing you with the best holiday experience so you go home happy and We Did :-)
I would highly recommend this caravan and the site to anyone and we hope to re visit in 2015.
The only negative part of the holiday was leaving to come home :- (
Thank you Donna for a unforgettable relaxing holiday.
There is only one word to describe our experience with Donna and Tally Ho 2 and that is fantastic! The caravan was stunning and the site was fab. We loved the peace and tranquility of the caravan location and the amazing hot tub was definitely a favourite with us. Everything about our stay was fab but what I felt made our stay even better was customer service provided by Donna. The attention to detail she goes to, to ensure that your stay is as relaxing and carefree as possible is second to none. Thanks a million Donna ☺xx
