My husband and I went for a meal and drink at this REALLY LOVELY old pub in Tattershall Thorpe. We booked the night before and I would recommend you do this. We were not disappointed. The selection of beers was really good, the service was friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent and very well priced. The pub is so cosy and has so much history, you can't help feeling that you are very welcome. Thank you to The Bluebell for a wonderful evening - we WILL be back

As previous reviews have mentioned - and future ones undoubtedly also will - this is a quaint old pub steeped in RAF history. We booked in advance, something that is probably advisable, and were welcomed as we walked in without even having to give our name. That in itself tells you that this isn't a big place.

The food was delicious, ordered from an extremely varied menu with something to suit everyone. Service was prompt without being overly so and we all enjoyed our evening immensely. Overall the bill was about what you'd expect for a decent pub meal - they've even got that bit right.

One thing of note, if you're taller than 5' 10" then you'll have to stoop in many places and if, like me, you're taller than that and also very clumsy then watch out for the demon crossbeams that are waiting for you despite you already ducking!
