We went to this restaurant with some friends that we met at Grand Bahia Principe and not only were the views amazing, the fact that Christopher Columbus "found" Jamaica at this spot made it extra special. Unfortunately, we were not hungry and just went for a drink (which was the COLDEST Red Stripe we had the entire time we were in Jamaica) but we had a wonderful experience and the food is highly recommended by locals.

I believe this place is now called "Columbus" but either way - I highly recommend this place. It is extremely cheap for the amount of food you receive and the quality is not lacking in the least. This was the best jerk chicken we ate while in Jamaica and we tried it at at least 3 different places. It was slow-cooked, juicy and seasoned really well. My husband and I could not get over how good it was, especially since we started out with some interesting service... slow service, hard to find the waitress even though they weren't busy, received our appetizer after the meal, etc. We tried the conch, wings and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken was by far the best. The conch was good, but not great. I would definitely go back!!!

We went here on the way to Ochios Rios from Montego Bay and I'm glad that we did! Great jerk and nice and spicy. The bread is awesome, i wanted more. The view is amazing! Plenty of shade. You can also take a look at some of the artifacts in the park right next to it. Ask your driver to stop here along the way from Rios to Mo Bay or vice versa.

Visited here after a tour and we were astounded how people can rate it so highly. Yes, the views are beautiful and it's situated in a lovely setting.

We were told we would be having lunch, and once we arrived, we were each handed a piece of foil, inside was a piece of fatty uncooked pork and a mound of dried chicken.

This was plonked on a paper plate (very upmarket) and we had plastic cutlery.

The service was terrible, with none of the staff speaking apart from an odd grunt or two.

Would never visit again or reccommend!!!!

Scotchies Restaurants of Jamaica Ltd has withdrawn the franchise from Columbus Park Jamaica Ltd as at June 21, 2013. The Scotchies brand is world renowned and the owners cannot afford for its reputation to be tarnished because of low standard food and bad service as described in one of the comments. We were a large group and ordered chicken, pork and fish. The chicken and fish were excellent but the pork was nothing but fat! The festival was amazing. Rice and peas was pretty standard. The place is very interesting with different areas for eating and drinking. Lots of space for big groups or just a couple.

I will go again and have the fish....
