We managed to be in Fanore during the best weather they've had all year. Because of that, we spent a couple days at the beach. It's a wide beach that has awesome tidepools for kids and stays shallow for a long ways when the tide is in. Aloha Surf teaches surfing lessons there as well. Plenty of parking, free to enjoy, I highly recommend it on a sunny day, especially with the beauty of the Burren all around you.

Nice sandy beach for the odd occasion when sun is out in Ireland. Free parking. Toilet block. Good for Surfing and body boarding. Nice family beach.

Never even knew about this place until I visited a friend on holidays. My girls loved the beach, and didn't know what to make of the jellyfish - they had never seen so many in their life. Water was lovely, didn't want to get out of the water!

We visited this beach in April, one of the coldest Springs on record. It was very bracing and quiet at this time of year, wonderful to walk along and watch the Atlantic roll in. There is also a dedicated car park and in seaon toilet facilities.

one of my favourite beaches in Ireland. I have gone body boarding, surfing and swimming here many time. can get kind of wild here so if bringing kids keep a good eye on them in the water. and when the tide comes in it comes in fast. but if you like wild beaches then this is a good one
