I stayed with my husband and 13year old son during the Classic TT Week.It was our first visit to the IOM.The house is lovely.Had everything that we needed for our weeks stay.It was an ideal location for us,as only a 15 minute walk to the TT Grandstand.Douglas is about a 20 minute walk away. The Airport Bus,stops just down the road from the house. We had a great stay here, and would highly recommend.
We found the Wee house great, comfortable has all the essentials. Close the shops, pub and a park, which is great for the kids. Jim and Wendy made us feel welcome and was very kind in leaving us milk and bread for the morning. I would certainly stay again and recommend the accommodation to other people.
Jim was a welcoming host who gave very helpful advice on places to visit, eat, shop, etc. We appreciated the starter pack of basic food plus a bottle of wine which made us feel at home from Day One. "The Wee Hoos" was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The island is certainly worth a visit - quiet, free of crowds and traffic jams, much like England used to be.
What a fantastic wee house..its is so cosy and comfy...We came for TT race week and was overjoyed to find we was just a 2 minute ride from bray hill and sign post corner..not to mention 5 minutes from the creg ny baa...the house is bright and clean and fitted out to a high standard ..we will be booking the wee house again in the future..wendy has been so helpful and responded to email very quickly..If your thinking if booking the wee house. do it you wont be disapointed
We chose the garden annex so that we weren't stuck in a hotel room without a kitchen and lounge area and also for good wifi (which it has!). There is everything you need - loo roll, towels, tea towels, washing up liquid/dishwasher so no need to bring all that sort of stuff. Wendy and Jim were very welcoming. A bottle of wine was waiting in the fridge and some other essentials which was good. Booking was easy, and considering I did it the night before arrival very good communication. Would defo stay there again should we return to the IOM.
Our visit to IOM was all about my sister in law who was on holiday from U S A for three weeks. She met her husband at IOM 56years ago and as he passed away 19 years ago she wanted to return to the hotel where she met him. It was called Matloch house in Douglas we were very excited for her although it had changed in appearance though was still in one piece. We stayed at the wee hoose which was absolutely stunning Jim the owner was exceptionally helpful the place was spotless comfortable and well maintained we will certainly go back at some point
A great time at the Manx TT Races, made all the better by staying at the Wee House. Everything you could ask for and more, comfortable, friendly and above all immaculate, without a doubt a 5 out of 5.
