“A perfect weekend escape”
Reviewed January 28, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

The barn conversion is beautifully done, to the highest standard. The area is quiet, with lovely seaside walks; Slade beach is the nearest beach but very rocky. Oxwich bay is also nearby, this is the perfect family beach with good access and lovely sands.

Wonderful family Christmas spent at Slade Barn, and a truly magical way to celebrate our baby girl's first Christmas with big brother Tom. Martin could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend. Not only is the barn incredibly well equipped but it is immaculate too. Will return!

“First Class”
Reviewed October 24, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Have just returned from an absolutly beautiful week away in Slade Barn. Was made to feel very welcome by Martin who telephoned prior to arrival to confirm arrangements.
Slade Barn itself was a delight with some very nice touches.
An added bonus was the weather which for mid/late October was mild and sunny.
Felt welcomed and Martin explained how everything worked, plus there was a very comprehensive welcome pack detailing the local area and further afield.
Thank you very much.

“Great choice for large family holiday”
Reviewed September 29, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Slade Barn which was shared with our adult children, their partners and a baby. The very cleverly converted barn offered spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms which meant we all had our personal space as well as a very comfortable living room. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, although feel that a bit more storage space would have been useful as the cupboards were so full of crockery, pots and pans etc there was not too much room for food - however I am being picky. The location is good, being near Oxwich beach and midway between the resorts of Rosseli and Mumbles. Thanks for a lovely holiday! Hope to return sometimes.

“Immaculately Presented Accommodation”
Reviewed August 27, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I would not hesitate to recommend Slade Barn - it is better than a home from home - so beautiful and extremely comfortable. We really liked the personal touch that Martin and Jamie gave - not intrusive but very welcoming. Garden was perfect for us and the dog and felt very secure. Slade Beach is great - our 14 and 17 year olds loved it too - they even went rock pooling!! Because the beach is tricky to get to, you only get a few people there so it feels really special.
Bear in mind that the property is next to a working dairy farm - fragrances can get a bit rural and the flies seemed to increase after some warm rain .
Overall, a fantastic place - we felt so relaxed after our stay and I have no doubt that we will be back for a repeat visit.

“Totally lovely holiday rental”
Reviewed July 11, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

If you want to explore The Gower from comfortable and luxurious self catering accommodation then this is the place for you. The converted barn is kitted out with beautiful finishing touches that make you feel treated at the end of a long day walking along the majestic coastal path. Lots to explore, you are able to walk to the nearest beach in 10 minutes, sand and rock pools, and a coastal path will take you to neighbouring bays. Or you can drive to the northern Gower salt marshes, visit castles, visit Swansea, go horse riding, find water sports nearby...it is ideal for all interests and ages. the Gower is beautiful and this cottage is perfect, with a warm welcome from the host, all you need to do is enjoy your holiday. Thoroughly recommended.

“Lovely Gower Gem”
Reviewed May 30, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The barn was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. We all had a fantastic week exploring coastal walks and good food. Underfloor heating was luxurious! Local information provided was very useful and Martin friendly and helpful. The accommodation worked well for six of us plus baby. Very nice touches such as fresh flowers, toiletries and jam. Highly recommended.
