We were visiting for a family occasion, and stayed for 2 nights. The house is situated in a beautiful, peaceful village on the Gower, with good local amenities and friendly locals.
The House is finished to a high standard, is spotlessly clean, and Rhian has thought of everything you could possibly need to be relaxed and comfortable during your stay.
I can't recommend this place highly enough, and plan to book the house again for our next visit :)
The house was perfect. Every convenience was there. High quality furnishings and comfortable beds. The famous Pen Clawdd cockles were actually prepared by the family next door. A real treat. The view was surreal because at times the sea was almost lapping the bottom of the garden and when the tide went out, there was a beautiful green field with horses grazing on it. A village shop a few doors away and a lovely village pub directly opposite. We all had a marvellous time. Would love to return and probably will.
My husband and I stayed in this amazing property in July 2017 for a whole week and couldn't have had a nicer time!
We picked a great week for the weather and had a great time exploring the Gower.
The cottage is exceptional - beautifully decorated with all modern amenities. The view from the back garden is amazing, particularly if you get chance to sit out in an evening and experience the sunset!
The location is also excellent with easy access by car to all areas of the Gower, from 15/20 minutes to Rhosilli to 30 minutes to Mumbles. If you want to venture outside the Gower, it only takes 15/20 minutes to get to Llanelli and nearby with the Wetlands nature reserve and Pembrey Country Park and beach. All the locals are so friendly which makes everything so much more enjoyable.
Thanks again to Rhian and Jonathan for providing accommodation to such a high standard. Would love to stay again!
Fantastic location with beautiful views across the salt marsh.
House was really well equipped, very clean and modern.
The locals were very friendly and we were blessed with great weather.
It's a nice walk around to the Dolphin pub, about 3 miles.
We arrived to find the owners had put a Christmas tree and decorations up for us which immediately made a homely welcome for us.
The house is warm and well insulated which meant we felt comfortable anywhere in the house. Kitchen is large, well equipped with a stunning view over the salt marsh to the estuary ( bird watchers will enjoy - bring binoculars!).
My wife enjoyed spending time with the (owners) horses which are just beyond the rear garden in a separate enclosure and were very friendly!
Beds are comfortable with memory foam which ensured a good rest at the end of the day.
Look forward to returning.
We had a lovely week at Whitford View. Despite the rainy weather at the start, we made the most of the beautiful area. The house is very comfortable and clean but the best bit has to be the garden - wow. Just sitting outside was such a treat. Also recommend the pancakes at the Crofty Inn across the road. All in all, a perfect week in a beautiful and untouristy corner of the country - think Cornwall without the crowds - which was just what we needed at the end of the summer. Thank you.
