“Very nice hotel”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Only spent one night here but overall not too bad. Parking was good with plenty of spaces, check in was efficient. First impressions were good it looks a nice hotel on arrival. We had a deluxe room on the second floor which isn't a large room but was nicely decorated, clean and very warm. The beds were comfortable but no tea or coffee making facilities. There is a casino as part of the hotel which looks excellent but everything is in dutch so couldn't understand how to play. Breakfast was very good with a nice choice. There is a bar and restaurant which looked quite nice but we went into town at night. The hotel is in a excellent location, only a short walk to town and it is a very nice town indeed. Overall this hotel is a little expensive but probably worth spending a couple of nights here and we would definitely stop here again.

The rooms are clean and comfortableThe nice bathroom give a a litle feeling of luxury because it is very spacy.. The lady at the counter and the serviceis excellent. Breakfast is simple butin a quiet atmosphere and you can read your newspaper very relaxed.

Nice hotel, located 5min walk from the center of Sluis. We parked the car for free in the garage. The room and bathroom was spacious and clean, complete with safe, tv an shampoos and soaps in the bathroom. The breakfastroom was large and unsociable, there were many eldery people, it was almost like a retirement home! The breakfast it self was well done and complete.
If there was also free WIFI in the room, this hotel would be totally worth the money

Stayed one friday night here. upgraded from standard to large room but found nothing large about it. No airconditioning and climate was hard to control (in winter). Beds were comfortable but only big pillows available. Overall decoration was nice. Bathroom neat but only a tub to shower in and little seperation glass so the floor was like a pool after a shower and got very slippery.

Last weekend stayd here one night. We had one of the cheapest rooms. These are quite small and in our room were two pillars (one in the middle of the room and one in the bathroom). This was very annoying. Beds were okay on itself but the quilts (synthetic) were quite small so you often wake up because you were cold. Lighting in bathroom very rare (a small light above the sink). In Sluis are not many hotels, so this is the best you can get. Perhaps have the more expensive room more space and luxury.

We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The room was large and comfy. We had a balcony overlooking lovely countryside only downside to this it wasnt very private. One balcony was split into two, serving two rooms divided by clear glass, so a little bit too cosy. We had a problem with bathroom light but once reported it was dealt with swiftly. There wasnt very much information available in rooms. A general magazine covering all Fletcher group hotels. No room service menu available. A booklet on local info would have been nice. No prices available in bar. We had taken the New Year package but did not receive any info on arrival about when/what time dinners took place, nor de we receive our vouchers. New Years Eve dinner was a painful experience -3 hours in total. Served by rude and grumpy waitresses who just showed you a hand if you asked them for something, not returning. This happened more than once. Dennis the bar manager saved the day on numerous occasions. What an asset he is to this hotel. Warm, friendly, professional and extremely hard working. Adinda too on reception, very friendly and helpful. We would go back. Very relaxed, dog friendly, the town of Sluis is lovely, dog friendly and very welcoming. Only downside being restaurants shut so early.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. From the outside it looks very very nice. The inside parking garage is very handy. The reception booked us a room on the 3th floor and this room was ok. Only a few things are not ok. In the room, the safe was allready closed, so we asked them to open the safe, so we could use it. Somebody would be send, we saw nobody. Also no extra blanket on the room, we asked for an extra one, somebody would be send, we saw nodbody. Also the window in the room was broken (a crack) and could not close well. The bathroom was very nice, only showering in the bath tube is not ok, because it is unhandy and also the whole floor got wet. Beds were very nice.

Breakfast was 15 Euro and you could eat as much as you want. Everything was very fresh, so this was fine. We had a cheese fondue in the basement and also this was fine. Good and quick service, only the music/show on the beamer was not our taste (Celine Dion)...

It's a good place to stay if you want to visit Brugge for example. It's no disappointment to stay in this hotel, but 4 stars? No way.
