The Erawan falls are located at 1+ hour drive from Kanchanaburi.
There is a park entrance fee of 200 THB per person which is also valid for visiting the Pra That Caves on the same day.

The trek to reach the upper levels might not be easy for first timers. We went till the 5th Level of the falls and one has to see the clarity of the water to believe it! Absolutely beautiful place near Kanchanaburi and is well worth the visit.

“Spectacular and breathtaking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

There are 7 levels of waterfalls, totaling a climb of about 1.5kms. Each one is beautiful in its own way with turquoise pools to match. My partner and I first visited the falls with a tour group but ran out of time (only getting to the 5th step). So we booked a private taxi from kanchanaburi to take us the following morning to complete the falls (about 1hr drive). You must go in the morning, otherwise by 1130 the place is packed with tourists. It opens at 8am. The first two steps are easily accessible, but the remaining can be quite challenging in parts with stairs and rocks to climb up and down. After the 2nd step there is a checkpoint where no food is allowed and it is 20baht per bottle to take past. You will receive your payment back in full if you return back with all bottles. There are many fish in the pools which nibble at our feet but they don't hurt and the water is refreshing as the climb can be exhausting. Our favorite fall was step 5. We were told that 6 & 7 were quite 'dry' compared to what they are in the rainy season but they were still lovely and flowing. Entrance fee is 200baht/pp. we wish we could take them home with us.

“Pastoral & beautiful”

We visited Konchanabury for the day from Bangkok. Although the journey is quite long, it was well worth the extra 60 kms to visit Erawan falls. I had previously visited small waterfalls in the area but this National Park is well maintained & very beautiful. There were many visitors but this didn't distract from the lovely scenery. Don't forget your swimming costumers for a wonderful dip.

It is possible to lie on the many bamboo beds that are situated close to the water to chill & soak in the atmosphere.

“Falls were very nice”

I had a great time there, my only concern was there was too much people. If you want to go all up until the 7th level trail can be a little tricky, so it is not for everybody and it gets a tuff at the end. The fall on the first levels are very accessible.

“Very beautiful place”

This place has to be visited early as if you are late, you wouldn't have too much time for the falls,The place is too natural and the water is clean with too many fishes.
