Stayed here recently 1 night with my husband, certainly has the wow factor as you drive up to this magnificent property. Has lots of character too inside the main hall, period features etc.
Really surprised as booked this on a third party website for not much more than a Travelodge, so expected a fairly basic double/twin room with no frill....much to our surprise check into Room 5 which was in fact a suite, large inglenook fireplace, stunning views from a huge lounge area/dinning area, kitchen area very facilitated, lovely king size bedroom nice Egyptian cotton sheets, large bathroom with large shower. All very well presented, excellent standard indeed. Our only negative was very squeaky floorboards & some noise from restaurant below this room ( only during meal time services). Otherwise would recommend this location to get away from it all for a short break.More
