“a good place to stay”
Reviewed June 3, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I'm writing this review on behalf of my brother in law who stayed here. A brilliant cottage, easy access on one level, plenty of room. If in the area again will stay here. First class would definitely recommend.

“A clean and welcoming home from home in a quiet farmland setting”
Reviewed May 6, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We loved this cottage! It was easy to find, and in a good location. Every room was spotlessly clean and well presented. A nice home from home! I would stay here again if in the area. Situated on quiet farmland with lots of lovely farm shops and pubs nearby. Would highly reccomend

“A delight for able-bodied and disabled alike”

Applecroft is a delight - a perfect haven for disabled and not disabled alike. It is beautiful, spotlessly clean and well-appointed. The adaptation for a wheelchair user is thorough and well thought through, with drop-down rails wherever needed in the wet room. The view from the windows and covered veranda is tranquil and pretty. The owner was welcoming and helpful. We'll be back.

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed September 21, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

If you are thinking of staying in this general area then look no further, this place cannot be faulted.
We stayed for four nights in early September and enjoyed our stay tremendously. We went to see the Blackpool illuminations on one evening (for the first time in 50 years) and I think it will be another 50 years before we go again. We had two days in Liverpool (Beatles ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ and ‘The Beatles Story’ both well recommended) and a day in Southport & Formby – very pleasant.
All that can be said about the cottage has already been said by others and would disagree with any of them – we loved it. The wet room with the rain shower was wonderful – I want one.
The only adverse comment that someone could think of writing in the visitor’s book was that they thought that the toilet flush was on the wrong side of the cistern – and that about sums it up, the place was faultless.
Don’t hesitate, book it.

“Excellent log cabin, warm and with very good facilities”
Reviewed April 8, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

A year old log cabin, which is well built with very good facilities in a quiet lane near Mawdesley in Lancashire. Liz, who owns it, is very helpful and efficient. Providing ordnance survey maps of the area was a nice helpful touch.

“very well equppied, immaculate property”
Reviewed June 7, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

everything you need when you go away for a short break, peace and quiet, well equipped very clean property, would recommend to anyone. Milk and biscuits provided on arrival, hand wash, shower gel, washing up liquid, wash stuff for the washer, plus other bits you would not normally expect on a self catering break.
For the walkers out there, plenty of literature provided on the stocked bookcase, also information of tourist attractions, days out, shopping and nearby cities. We stayed 3 nights and visited Albert Dock at Liverpool, Southport and Trafford Centre in Manchester.
Handy that the host Elizabeth only lives next door, if you need any info. There are lots of places to eat, plenty of farm shops and tea rooms to visit, local Co-Op and Tesco only a few miles away if you wanted to eat in
