We had an excellent, amazing, courteous service at this resort. In specific the master chef went over and beyond each and every day to make our trip plesant. It will be very memorable specially since our daughter got sick and he prepared , mind you without our request, on his own speical meals for her. Knwing that she was a kid he prepared several options so she could atleast have something for lunch/dinner. His cooking classes were exceptionsl. He was very open about his recipes and shared the tips and tricks. This is an excellent freebie at this resort - once a day free cooking class.Great place made very enjoable by its staff - Room, food, ambience. Thank You Nand Kumarji for your great hospitality.

We visited the place in the last week of November for our 1st anniversary. I wanted it be very special. We reached the place around 1 PM. The least the resort can do is to arrange a free pick-up from the nearest bus stand for the people traveling by buses for the price they charge and for the fact that it is situated in a remote location . That was a big let-down. The place is vast and beautiful. That was the only time we had some peace. When we went for dinner in the evening I saw a crowd of at least 100 in the resort. It was some team-building trip for some company called 'Sai Intex'. And boy I am sure they were seeing a resort, a buffet spread for the first time. I am not being mean here, but I believe that was the fact. There were no place to seat, no space to get the food, no refills, my side plate got pulled by someone when I was eating, my chair got hijacked when I went for a refill. It was so bad we didn't have dinner properly and left. After that I tried to stay outside as much as possible. And to my horror, the glasses aren't cleaned properly and always had pungent smell of non-veg food. We replaced our glasses at least thrice. I don't expect this kind of cleanliness issues from a resort like Windflower and the money they charge. In short they were pathetically prepared to handle such a large and unruly crowd. Why give the resort to a such a huge crowd when you aren't prepared to handle them? You are ruining the holidays for other guests. Our anniversary dinner next day was more peaceful as the crowd had some DJ party. Having said this, I must say all the staffs were courteous and helpful. One more thing I will highlight is that lack of security in the room. They have a open to sky bathroom concept and there is no locks inside the room to the open bathroom. That means anyone who jumps the wall can easily enter the room. When I asked the front desk about this, they casually said it is like this in every room. With the kinds of incident happening happening at hotels and resort, they should be more careful about this to provide all safety possible. Overall it was a very much average trip. Good resort ruined by mismanagement and average food.

Room Tip: Studio rooms have a very good view of coffee plantations.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to you by the group. We endeavour to ensure that families are not given bookings at the same time as big groups but sometimes it becomes inevitable and we are truly sorry that this happened in your case. We do hope you will visit another Windflower soon.

Great place for a quiet peaceful break. Had stayed there for 3 nights. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Staff is very courteous and helpful and quite eager to attend to all your needs. Resort is beautifully maintained with lot of places to walk around. Food is decent (though menu could be improved a bit). While the restaurant manager does try to address your requests as best as possible, menu (especially desserts) should be rotated more often as we felt it was same / similar kind of stuff on continuing days. One suggestion, they should provide in the room a brochure with details of all the in-hotel events (for various activities) and also the external tourists spots/activities so that guests can plan their stay accordingly and not miss out interesting parts of their stay in Coorg. Overall a nice and peaceful stay, well enjoyed.

Room Tip: Studio rooms are best suited if going as couple. Didnt find suite/villa much value for money.

Stayed in the windflower resort during a business meet. Property is very well maintained and has a lovely pool and pond. The villas were very spacious and room service and house keeping were done on time. Its a perfect place if you are looking for a quiet holiday resort.

During one of our chat sessions, my cousin Amsal mentioned about his pleasant stay and how much his wife and kid had enjoy their stay at this resort. So when I thought of taking a short break, this place seemed to be the natural choice. Its not too far from Chennai and it provided me with the option of staying at Bangalore or Mysore to avoid travel fatigue. The staff at the booking desk are helpful in explaining what to look forward and the different type of rooms on offer for accommodation at the resort. I took a break at Mysore and stayed at Country Inns & suites before proceeding to this resort. The journey leading to this resort from Mysore is decent. Fortunately, there are no bad roads that make the trip memorable for wrong reasons. Coorg is a small town, does not appear or feel like a hill station although its almost 900 metres above sea level me. The weather in October is pleasant with occasional drizzles. The resort is about 2-3 kms off the main road. The road leading to the resort is narrow and in bad condition. As you approach the resort, the security is informed at the entrance if you had made prior booking. This is good from a security point of view. The receptionists welcomed us with fruit drinks and warm towels. While we finished our drinks, an attendant ushered us to our rooms in the buggy while the Valet service took the car to the parking lot.

The resort is on a hilly area and has been constructed on 3-4 levels without leveling or flattening large tracts of land. That retains the hill station feeling although coorg did not give me the feel of an Ooty, Kodaikanal or Yercaud for that matter. At the higher level, you have the reception. As you keep walking down, you come across the Villas, Studios and Suites. The stairs opposite the reception take you to the dinning area and the swimming pool.

We took the studio room along with the all mean option. The room is spacious with an ante room. The washroom has an open to sky shower in addition to a shower closet. Words cannot do justice to the eupohoria you would feel as you open the doors of the balcony. The balcony door opens to nature, LITERALLY.Those who live in concrete jungles will love the view. There is abundance of greenery, peace, tranquility and chirping of the birds. The balcony area is large enough and provides teapoy and chairs. The room provides for a comfortable bed, table and chair, kettle and TV apart from a recliner. The food on offer is good. But what made it better is the hospitality of the Chef and Supporting Staff. They cooked our choice of food and once or twice, had the food delivered to our room.

Walk in the resort in the weather is enjoyable. Lots of flora, ducks on an artificial lake and the swimming pool leave lasting memories.

Not just the adults who want to escape from the concrete jungles, the children too would simply love this place! There is an activity area for the children. Trekking is arranged by the Resort. You could also contact the reception if you want to indulge in the sport of White Water rafting.

Although you would feel like leaving the balcony door open at all times, it would be advisable not to do so after 5 pm. Unless ofcourse you want reptiles, flies and insects warming up to you. The resort staff will advise you on this front and its no reason to panic.
