We have just spent a perfect day in the company of Nella Simon and her crew. The day starts with excellent pastries and just gets better, off to swim with the dolphins, which we have to say this was spectacular. Here you must know that mary and myself are bio aquatic therapists and work in the Bahamas and Bali with all types of dolphins so we are quite picky. The crew were perfect in their approach respectful and yet able to get us to the water with the pod. YAY Bottle-nose and spinners. Worked really well with the kids and less than strong swimmers.
Then off to sample fresh caught sea urchin served with lemon and white wine, then lunch of fresh lobster wonderful local cuisine and of course wine.
Highly recommended

We had a fun and relaxing day on the Amistad. The Mauritian crew was extremely friendly which brought a very nice ambiance on board, from the first few minutes on the boat and throughout the day.

Swimming with the dolphins was lovely, although quite short. The snorkeling was enjoyable and it was impressive when the skipper Olivier fished in front of us sea urchins that we ate just a few minutes later ! Lunch on the deserted island (Ile aux Bénitiers) was very good (grilled langoustine!), although the island in itself is not exactly beautiful and there is some trash laying around.

We had a funny experience after lunch, when we realized that the tied was too low and the small boat we used from the Amistad (which was moored in deeper water) to reach the Ile aux Bénéitiers was stuck! We had to walk for over a kilometer in the water. to reach the Amistad. We didn’t mind this and though that it was somewhat of an adventure! However, there were older people with us, as well as very young children, so I think the situation was more problematic from them. The crew managed this little hiccup very efficiently and I cannot fault them for what happened; they were amazing in every way! We were however disappointed when we realized that Patrick, the French owner of this boat business, did not care at all that we were stranded in the low tied and we arrived back on land at nightfall, more than 2.5 hours after the normal return. His unconcern was disappointing and such a huge contrast compared to the concern and efficiency of the Mauritian crew on board.

In short, we had an amazing day on the Amistad with the captain (I don’t remember his name), Olivier the skipper and Manu, but we were left with a small bitter aftertaste due to Patrick’s indifference, which contrasts sharply with the attitude of the amazing crew.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this day trip because the crew is wonderful, the activities are great and the food is delicious. It's just too bad Patrick is not really concerned about his own business.

We deeply thank you for having taken time to draft this opinion further to your day on Amistad and what our crew as well as our services gave you complete satisfaction. Small rectification. This day, we had a tide exceptionally low as he can arrive there once a year and as the other boats, after the meal, we had many difficulties has to embark on the amistad. I may assure you that I was in permanent connection with the camp on the island, with our small boat and with the Amistad. I also came to welcome you in the landing stage after this day to excuse me for this disagreement. We hope to see again you very soon.
