Description: Light and airy Tamasha is a corner of Bromley that will be forever India. Ceiling fans swish over the restaurant's rattan chairs and photographic records of the days of the Raj, while the cuisine displays a similar dedication to the regional tastes of the subcontinent. There is live music during the week, with entertainment for the kids on Sundays. The bar is a haven for fans of cricket, with memorabilia that includes Sir Vivian Richards' signed bat.

“Truly outstanding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

As someone who visits India frequently I have an appreciation of the many and varied tastes that come from the sub-continent. The favours here were outstanding, the food temperature hot and the ambience one of refinement. Whilst not the cheapest the adage "you get what you pay for" rings true here. 4 very happy and well fed diners this evening. Kudos to all concerned

“Nothing special”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2013

Nine of us went for a friends birthday it was a absolute rip off the food was mediocre five off us were ill after and the bill came to £435 none of us had a starter or dessert just a main meal with rice. Don't know how it hasn't closed down at there prices just paying for the décor and someone to hold the door open when you arrive would definitely not recommend to any one

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Had a meal about 2 weeks ago for a friends birthday. There were 9 of us and we had a table booked upstairs. Restaurant decor as very nice, there is also a bar upstairs where everyone can meet and have drinks whilst waiting for all their group to arrive.
I have no complaints on the food, it was very nice and quite an extensive selection.
The restaurant is quite expensive which was a bit of a surprise. The service was good though the waiters did not seem overly friendly. They had an air of arrogance and they forgot to bring a coffee for one of the ladies and every time we asked, the reply was yes, yes, it's coming! When in fact they had forgotten. No apology was given.
I would recommend it for the food but nothing else.

“Disappointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Having been a fan of Tamasha from a previous visit, I was really disappointed with a visit just recently. We went on impulse one evening and had a tastecard deal, as it is quite an expensive restaurant. No issues with poppadoms and dips, all good quality and tasty. But that is really where the positives end. My chicken curry was bland and I think some of the chicken had skin on, and not in a nice crispy way as it was in the sauce, or was not particularly nice cuts. I asked for peshwari naan and was either given a very tasteless one, although there were no signs of the sesame seeds advertised, or a plain one. It was really quite greasy and not very nice. My husband's veggie dish was also very disappointing. Although the sauce was nice, the babycorn for some reason was battered first. Why?! Soggy and unappetising. The nicest dish was the side of saag aloo, well spiced, well made and tasty. I was surprised how inconsistent the meal was and for the bill, felt it was very poor value for money, even with one free curry. Will not be returning again.

“Great Night, with superb food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

We had a meal at Tamasha last Saturday, this was our second visit and was even better than the first, which we didnt think was possible. The staff our always attentive and the food is delicious and always served promptly. You must try the Tamasha Coffee after your meal, it is a show in itself and the taste is incredible We will definitely be going back......
