“Very good”

A great way to spend an afternoon wandering around the gardens. The tour around the house is interesting and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The Rodin exhibition was excellent too.
I would highly recommend a visit.

“HENRY MOORE FOUNDATION, MUCH HADHAM”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

This visit was to see the Moore/Rodin Exhibition and to visit "Hoglands" the home of Henry Spencer Moore and his family. The whole experience was the very best of visits that I have done in the UK. Every member of staff are polite, helpful and everything so well organised. The charm of the shop and cake cafe were bountiful and visiting inside H.M's home (guided and restricted to time and numbers) was - for me a WOW. I hope nothing is ever changed. Thank you!

“Glorious Day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2013

A fantastic jewel and a must to visit during the season. Henry Moore's beautiful garden and estate, fabulous studios and galleries showing his work and this year alongside Rodin. Also visit his restored house. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Suitable for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Have a delicious lunch at the Hoops Inn. A brilliant value for money day out.

“Well worth the drive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2013 via mobile

I had wanted to see the Rodin sculptures as well as the Moore exhibits. My two hour drive was well worth it. The sculptures were set in the acres of land around the house lived in by Henry and Irina Moore. The house holds many of the artefacts collected over the years by Moore. There was so much to see and enjoy, with the Rodin sculptures there for a limited time. The highlight for me were the tapestries - I was unaware of their existence before bit was absolutely wowed by them. A lovely day

“An absolute must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 18, 2013

I am not into art or sculpture, so was reluctant for this visit. But I was completely bowled over by the experience. The house was an absolute delight, I wish we could have had hours looking at all the treasurers. Now I am a devotee of Moore and Rodin. The grounds are so well set out and the map took you into all sorts of weird and wonderful creations. Its alot of walking, as the sculptures are set in gardens, fields and on a hill. Plus the galleries are fantastic. The tapestry gallery was a revolution, never would I have believed the weavers of West Down could have created such art. The staff were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is one of my best ever days out, which was a total surprise, given my anti arts feelings. This is a must visit, plus you can use your two for one Gardeners World entry ticket.
