Whenever we visit the Manchester area the Ascott is our preferred place to stay, Peter and Dave are great hosts. The breakfast is great and we always sleep very well. Spacious and very comfortable with ample car parking. Very good value for money, we would not stay anywhere else. Close to local train and tram services.

I found this guesthouse a great place to stay. Its well located if you want a quiet nights sleep, and there is ample parking for the guests. Eccles train station is just a 5 min walk away, and the tram line is only 10 mins, so you can also avoid driving into manchester city centre.
The staff are excellent, and nothing is any problems for them. The breakfast is very tasty, with many options to choose from. The rooms are nice and clean. Would stay again no problem.

Stayed for one night, to break journey to home.
My partner is using this while working in the Area.
Rang ahead, to inform the Hotel we would arrive late. No problem at all, key left for us in secure place with detailed instructions. Plenty of room to park the car
Loved the decor, loved the room, sank into the bed, super.
Shower in the morning, breakfast was served in a lovely room at rear, welcomed by staff.
Eggs and Bacon to perfection.
Would highly recommend this Hotel, just not shire why it's classed as a B&B.
Missed it the first time, as designated as B&B not Hotel
Deserves 5 stars Excellent

Like walking into a museum, very old fashioned, with a multitude of pictures on the walls and cluttered with bits and pieces all over the place and not much space to put our own things. No mattress protector just a sheet and all a bit 'tired'. Breakfast ok, the usual fare. Can’t understand these over the top fabulous reviews. Like the other reviews, we thought the manager quite off hand and a bit rude to some guests. Rather over priced and wouldn't bother to stay again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel recently as we're visiting the races in Liverpool. A great hotel situated only minutes from the train station. Also great for catching the tram into Manchester. On arrival the first impressions were amazing. Hotel beautifully decorated and clean. Very interesting decor. Our room was very nice and bathroom lovely. Modern and clean. Unfortunately on
our bed was a sign to say that if there were any stains on our sheets we would be debited £50 from our bank account. We have stayed at many locations world wide and have never experienced this before. Going into breakfast the following day my husband requested a full English breakfast. Before I was given a chance to say I was told that there were no sausages and could I choose something else. I felt very uncomfortable about this as my husband was served breakfast first including sausage. I couldn't have any. Apart from these two hiccups we had a lovely stay at this hotel. I would recommend it.
