My stay at the ivy mount guest house from 25may-27may was one of the best i've ever had. Firstly on coming to ivy mount i was met by one of the friendliest people i ever met, he made sure we had everything in my room which was based on the top floor of the vip house which was very clean and tidy. On the first morning the breakfast was one of the best i've ever had. Lastly the room where of top quality, i would give the hotel 10/10 just because Paul was one of the friendiest people u can ever meet. I would tell everyone to book because u will have a ball, i'm going to book again for next season's rugby league magic weekend. Keep up the good work Paul and see u next season

from

Matthew. P

Room Tip: i would go for the vip rooms they are best ever

Had the VIP room. Which was lovely. Clean and tidy. Only slight thing wrong was the mini fridge was not stocked with things as advertised. Paul the owner was ever so friendly and helpful. Gave us ideas where to eat and drink and places to shop. Good location and only 5 minute walk from metro link. Which will get you into Manchester city centre in 30 mins for about £2.50 return. They run every 10-15 mins and run quite late at night too. I would defo stop here if needed to be in the area again

Stayed at Ivy Mount for 1 night on 22/05/13 for my husbands birthday, we were greeted with a happy and jolly Paul who was lovely.
We were given a bedroom with twin beds but when I mentioned that I’d asked for a Double Paul quickly sorted this out and led us to another room which was a double.
The room was sparkling clean, no dust at all!
Nice average sized room with a very comfy bed with a nice un-suite bathroom.
Hairdryer, Iron and ironing board as well as a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities are all provided and ready in the room.
This hotel was a perfect distance from all the amenities, only 10 minute drive to Trafford shopping centre and 10 minutes to Wilmslow road for all the nice restaurants and Sheesha bars.
Shame we could only stay the 1 night due to work commitments but will definitely stay here again next time we visit Manchester.
Thanks Paul. :)

Room Tip: Try to avoid a room on the ground floor if you want to sleep in a little, as the clattering of plate...

I can only echo the other positive reviews about Ivy Mount. The guesthouse was perfectly located for a course I was taking across the road at the Masonic Lodge. I was late to check in on my first night, but received a call and text from owner, Paul, to check all was okay and to give instructions for the key-safe so I could let myself in. Room was modern and well furnished, bed firm and comfortable. But it is Paul who makes the difference, providing a friendly, personal service with his cheery upbeat chatter at breakfast and advice on local amenities and the best routes to access those slightly further afield. He obviously cares about his guests and his enthusiasm makes a refreshing change from the norm. Having stayed here once, I wouldn't look anywhere else if I needed to stay in the area again. Recommended for business and pleasure alike.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 8 - ground floor, but with blind and curtains on the window. Reasonable size for si...

Paul runs a friendly, clean, and professional b&b here and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome and comfortable. He takes an interest in every guest, treats you as a visiting friend and starts your day with a smile and a chat over breakfast. I definitely recommend the Ivy Mount Guest House to anyone visiting Salford / Manchester and will certainly be going back there soon.
