Our stay at Rancho was AMAZING! Everything about this place is really special and everyone needs to visit if they get a chance.

The Rancho staff are awesome; they are incredibly helpful and really work to make your stay perfect. Special mention to Danny, for always having a Pacifico awaiting our arrival! I think we only ate away from the ranch a couple of times over our two weeks stay because the food was delicious. From fresh seafood, zucchini bread and chocolate brownie cocktails..... mmmmm. The rooms are extremely clean and modern with exceptional views! And SO close to the beach and the magnificent sunset.

The dogs at Rancho really contribute to the uniqueness of this place. Diego, Umbrey, Louie and Mini were always cruising around making us laugh, chasing limes or trotting along.

Thanks to all the staff for making our trip to Mexico so remarkable. We will never forget it! If you ever venture to Australia, makes sure you get in touch :)

I never write reviews, but this one is worthy of it. My boyfriend and I just returned from a week's stay. It was a unique, sublime and relaxing experience from the minute we pulled in, when Christine said, 'leave your keys in the car and come to the bar to have a drink on us. By the time you are finished your car will be parked and bags will be in your room' Within 24 hours, every member of the staff greeted us by name in such a genuine and friendly way, we felt like we were staying at a friend's home. The rooms are generous in size, and as private and quiet as can be. The beach pristine and the food-- amazing! We cherished every minute and shed a tear upon our departure. I would love to keep this experience a private one so that it remains somewhat undiscovered. But that would be doing Lisa and her staff a disservice. And as a side note, the doggies add particular charm. Especially Louis.

Amazing rooms, perfect service, gorgeous grounds, amazing pool and bar. It's the perfect getaway to unwind with a significant other. We attended a destination wedding here and everything was thought of for each of the guests. I can't wait to stay here again in the future.

We were quite impressed with the facility. The staff was very well trained and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Rooms are delightful. Now to the flaws - chief among the flaws were the dogs. By count we were forced to deal with 4 different dogs. I have an allergy associated with dogs. There was a big black lab there to greet us and a very frightening guard dog who joined me at the pool and took several drinks of water from the pool. Then at dinner the owners dog insisted on running under the tables and over my feet. And, of course, there was a dog to see us off. Additionally, the music from the bar was rather loud as we were trying to get to sleep. Finally - the owner. She walked around and appeared to interact with a travel magazine writer and completely ignored the guest. I wanted her to take care of her dog but that was not to be. This spot has great potential but with only 12 rooms the owner/manager should pay attention to the needs of the guest and not focus so much on her dog.

We are heartbroken you had a less than perfect experience here.
As you can imagine, it is difficult to resist the urge to save every homeless dog in Mexico. And while we try to upfront about dogs on the property, (and some guest have requested a fan page for Diego!) we appreciate your feedback and will certainly try to do a better job of both wrangling them and communicating with our guests about our canine family.
We take our personal service to heart here and can't apologize enough that we didn't make you feel as special as we should have. We appreciate your business and apologize for letting you down.

This place is beautiful, nicely appointed, understated luxury which is my kind of place. We booked a last minute trip to Baja from LA and thankfully there were a couple of nights available. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful location to soak up some sun, you have found it. The bar serves great food and the beach cabanas are the BEST where you can eat dinner by your own fire pit. I'm sure there are a million activities near by which we would have partaken in if we had stayed longer but we didn't see a reason to leave the pool/beach. There is wi-fi for those unfortunate to have to get some work done while there ;)

The excellence bar was just raised by Rancho Pescadero. Far beyond the 5-star reviews allowed by Trip Advisor.

CaliforniaTravelinsider.com has traveled and experienced many incredible destinations. It's hard to find words to describe the experience of Rancho Pescadero. It IS Zen!

As if the current amenities weren't enough -- amazing views, stunning rooms, fabulous food; bikes, fishing poles, and surfboards available for guest use; fresh from the garden fruits and vegetables; spa, pool, Jacuzzi...and on and on....a new yoga pavilion is being added.

Do not be afraid to take the road less traveled and find your way to Rancho Pescadero.

My wife and I stayed at Rancho last month for our Honeymoon and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. It is a beautiful private oasis that combines 5 star lodging and service with an authentic, private beachfront experience. The restaurant was incredible, serving fresh fare throughout the day and our rooms were so comfortable and stylish, that we never wanted to leave. Our experience was so unique and so personal, I'm shocked that the rooms were not more expensive. Rancho is located just about 1 hour from Cabo and is easily accessible by rental car or private coach. If you want the 5 star experience, but want to avoid the crowds and tourists of Cabo, this is your place. The proprietors seemed to genuinely love their hotel and love that fact that they were not a "Cabo" destination. Besides everything I've mentioned, we were most impressed with the fact that the staff and proprietors seemed determined to only provide us with the best experience possible. At no point did we ever feel like profits were even a consideration. For instance, when we arrived, there was a bottle of champagne and strawberries on the porch to greet us. When we wanted to go into Todos Santos, the owner let us borrow his truck. When we told the owner we were interested in a day activity, he toured us over the beach cliffs on atvs and took us to an incredible local tacqueria for fresh (off the boat) tuna sashimi and tacos. When I asked if we could do something special for my new wife, they set up an entire candleight dinner on the beach with full time waiter and fire pit all to ourselves. When I failed to confirm my private coach trip back to the airport, the staff drove us the 1+ hours immediately. What i haven't mentioned was that this was all done for free. I won't ramble on too much more, but if you are looking for a real, unique beach experience, Rancho is the perfect spot.
