“Great spot to unwind!”

The minute you arrive you know you are in a place that you will love! It is gorgeous and intimate with the nicest people taking care of you....it is so worth the drive to get out of Cabo and spend time at this great spot and go to Todos Santos for some really fantastic restaurants. Large, beautiful beach but really not swimmable unless you go off property to where they give surf lessons. But the pool is so much fun to hang out in and have lunch and cocktails.

We spent the first five days of our Baja Honeymoon at the Rancho Pescadero, and immediately fell in love with Baja. Every person we met on the staff was genuinely warm and made us feel like long lost friends. Although we spent a lot of time to ourselves lounging by one of the pools, taking sunset strolls on the beach, and sea gazing from our balcony; we met some great couples while hanging out at the bar. In fact on our last night, we all sat at the bar together to have a good-by dinner with some of our fabulous hosts, Danny, Yan, and Marco.
We stayed in the Milagro suite, and our room exceeded our expectations. The balcony was the size of a living room, and furnished with a round dining table, comfy lounge chairs, and a day bed, perfect for afternoon naps in the ocean breeze. The bathrooms were luxurious, with a massive shower, (great water pressure) and a separate deep jacuzzi tub. Unfortunately our tub was not working, however we were well compensated for this one minor inconvenience. On our last day, my husband and I both had massages at the Ranch's spa. I must say that they rank at the very top of my list and are a must if you stay at Rancho Pescadero. Although a little pricey, a stay at the Ranch is well worth the cost, especially if you're looking for a place to celebrate a momentous occasion such as a wedding, or anniversary. We look forward to returning again.

Room Tip: Most suites, like ours do not have kitchens, however there is one that does. Do use your mosquito ne...

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our road-trip around Baja California Sur. Our room here was truly stunning, a huge open space, with a sliding door onto a beautiful terrace, which became part of the room when the doors were open. The room was so comfortable, it was wrench to leave it, but we didn't actually go far, as we only made it down to the beach, to lie on the lovely day-beds! The staff here were pleasant, friendly, and efficient, and the food in the pool-bar and restaurant was of a high standard.

OMG forget the glam hotels in Cabo and go stay in a boutique that is equal to a Relais et Chateau hotel. Rooms are spacious, with incredible attention to detail, great food and bar, unspoiled beach. It is quite a surprise a mile down a little dirt road off the main highway. The turn is easily missed, very short of Todos Santos. It is almost as if the owners want to surprise you that such a jewel could possibly exist down so humble a road. We had a sunset dinner on the beach, rode horses on the beach in nearby TS and drank imaginative concoctions at the cute, musical outdoor bar. Forget the kids--this is a place for lovers.

Travel to the resort from San Lucas can be somewhat trying due to highway 19 construction but well worth the drive. A welcoming staff, clean modern room, and an untouched beach. I will be back.

This was our 6th stay at the Rancho! From the first stay back in March of 2010 we knew
this gem of a small hotel would become a place we would return to often in order rejuvenate, unwind, and have fun. The grounds are stunningly landscaped with many varieties of palms, bougainvilleas, and cacti. The ocean is wide, pristine and ideal for long leisurely
morning walks, afternoon sunbathing and wave watching, and evening star gazing. The rooms are all so perfectly decorated with ample inside and outside spaces.to take in all
the beauty of the surrounding area. We love the rooftop terrace suites and the last two
stays have really enjoyed the Milagro Suite #22 in the newer opened Hacienda which
has stunning and expansive views of the beach and ocean. We so enjoy there are no
phones, clocks and flatscreen tvs. We much prefer the sound of the waves and roosters!
There now are 2 beautiful pools to enjoy. The main pool is more happening with the bar and music and the pool by the Hacienda is quiet and peaceful. With 2 pool areas and
the beach the hotel never feels crowded. We would move from beach to pool to other
pool as our moods changed.

The help at the Rancho is so much part of our experience. Everyone goes out of their
way to make you feel special and extremely taken care of. We must say we deeply miss
Christine and Josh as they left in March but the overall feel of the Rancho remains
the same.

This last trip the owner's husband George, originally from Hawaii, came back from a successful fishing trip and made us a huge portion of awesome tuna poke as we mentioned how we love it. Ishmael brought us some snapper which he caught the night before and then made us some of the best fish tacos ever! Danny the bartender whipped us up some special watermelon cocktails that we requested. A dinner table
was beautiful set up on the beach for us and friends for a 4th of July evening

This trip we went up to La Paz and took a boat tour of Espiritu Santo and Ballandro Bay.
This was an incredible experience as the waters are warm and Caribbean Blue and the
sand very white. We saw dolphins,, whales, and sea lions. The Rancho can arrange
for a tour. We highly recommend this tour if you can tear yourself away from the hotel.

If you are in the mood for Italian food you are in luck. The Santa Fe Restaurant in Todos Santos is just a 15 minute drive. We used to drive up from Cabo to eat here. Having
such an amazing restaurant so close to the Rancho is a big plus for our stays here.

In closing must also mention how the cost of staying here is so refreshing! It is wonderful that the rates remain so reasonable! The cost certainly has helped in making this last stay our 6th and certainly not our last! Can't wait to return!.

We stayed at Rancho Pescadero for our "second honeymoon" (our 20th anniversary). It was a spectacular week!

In general: When we chose RP we were looking for relaxing, quiet, and beautiful. RP has it all in spades. We loved everything about the hotel from it's quiet beach and welcoming staff, to the beautiful pools, aesthetics of the whole place, and the food. Sitting out by the pools or walking on the beach, napping in the beach beds, or adventuring out beyond the front gates to Todos Santos or another beach, we were happy!

Our room: Our room (#2) was amazingly beautiful with a 180+ degree view of the beach, the surf, the mountains beyond. Every detail in the room was lovely from the materials, the colors, to the fabrics and textures. We had a palapa covered terrace and a roof top deck each outfitted with lounge chairs, table/chairs for dining, and a bed for really kicking back. We spent as many hours lounging in the privacy of our room as we did by the pools just because we could.

The staff: The people who take care of you at RP are all about service. They were warm, genuine and happy to assist whether that meant mixing you a gorgeous frou frou coconut drink of some variety or setting up a fire for you on the beach at sunset, or recommending a local chiropractor and setting up an appointment (we hope you don't need it, but DH had wrenched his back the week before we got there and was in some serious pain for the whole trip...Carla made the call...Dr. Mark helped!). We felt like family but royal family! We were treated with the utmost care. Thanks to everyone at RP, including Karla and Carla, Yan, Simone, Danny, Roderigo, Julio, Sergio...everyone! Too many to name!

The food: Our meals (dinner and lunch) were terrific. The fish is so fresh and everything was tasty and healthy. (Many, many wheat free options, which we loved, btw.) Our favorites were the fresh fish and the pork chop with guava sauce. Yummmmmm. And the flan!! We got a bit bored with the menu after several days (perhaps a couple different rotating menus would help out guests who stay longer than 4 days) so just started asking for what we wanted, off menu, in other words. "Your wish is our command..." was basically the response. Fantastic! The fruit in the mornings was a disappointment, not very sweet, not very exciting for us coming from CA. But we survived!

yoga: DW does some yoga back home and found the yoga classes to be HARD. Had the intention of yoga-ing every day...gave that up. The classes don't seem to be geared to the guests as much as the locals who come too. This was a bit of a disappointment, but not earthshaking.

The worst part about RP is having to leave. We were so relaxed and happy there, getting back to civilization was no fun!

Thanks Rancho Pescadero! We can't wait to come back!
