“Best accomodation in area”

Excellent stay, with great rural setting, lovely accommodation and great service from Amanda and Phil. We stayed in the converted stables annex, with breakfast in the main house which was ideal. Nothing was too much trouble and breakfasts were outstanding. Overall, a quiet rural retreat, excellent standard of accommodation and service.

Room Tip: . We preferred sufficiency of the annex although rooms in house were very nice.

Come here, I recommend it! Beautiful and graceful old house, with peaceful views over farmland to the Humber. Exceptional accommodation full of character. A most friendly and helpful approach, and excellent faciliities.

Breakfast was spectacular, and in a wonderful dining room around one table, thus fostering a sociable atmosphere.

I would love to come back here and stay longer - it's set in a fascinating and unusual part of the country.

Booked for 17th to 19th February. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We had a twin bedded room with ensuite wet room and toilet. Really snug. Amanda did everything possible to make our short stay as pleasant as possible. Ideal for a very quiet stay, far from the maddening crowd. The breakfast was really a feast, more than adequate requiring only a light snack for lunch. So much so, we only fancied a light evening meal so went into Witherensea to the Lighthouse fish and chip restuarant. The meal there was more than adequate and excellent value for money. If opportunity arises, would have no hesitation staying there again.

If you want a quiet stay in a quiet part of the world, this is it. The accomodation I was offered was a twin bedded room with an en suite wetroom (shower, toilet and washbasin in one room) and this was fine. The accommodation is in converted farm buildings next to the owners' house. This is a very quiet part of the world but at least the local pub in Holmpton (George & Dragon) does evening meals most nights of the week (certainly mondays and tuesdays) and the quality is adequate but very fair for the price. Excellent breakfast cooked by Amanda who is very keen to ensure that your stay has everything necessary.

Took the kids in 2008 for a night, and returned for a full long weekend this time.
A fantastically relaxed farmhouse with a beautiful and well equipped familly annex that was quiet, private and luxurious (with a lovely private lounge to relax in once the kids were in bed).
Amanda & family looked after us fantastically well and the kids are already asking if they can go back soon.
Lots of dogs , cats and farm beasties to keep the kids busy and a great area of the coast to explore. We even had lots of sun.
Finally, it would be remis of me not to mention the fantastic home cooked breakfasts (which I ate 3 days in a row!) made with quality local produce (obviously carefully chosen) and perfectly cooked.
I really hope we can return soon.
