We spent two nights in Corinna recently! What an awesome location - the river, the rainforest, the coast line, the wildlife! It was more than we could have wished for! We stayed in a two bedroom cabin with two of a our adult children and found it comfortable and warm. Having one bathroom didn't bother us but as it was not on the same floor as the bedrooms it was a problem! As was the extractor in the bathroom! Very loud and not very effective! The bed in the main bedroom was awful - hard and mean and I would not have lasted another night sleeping on it!
We booked to eat in the restaurant both nights and found the service to be well below parr! Meals where ok but a little expensive! The young lady who attended to us both nights was surly, unhappy and poorly trained. Wine and wine glasses slammed down on the table and no attempt made to even remove the screw cap! The room was very smokey and quiet noisy!
We took the trip down the Pieman river on the Arcadia and could not have enjoyed it more! Just fantastic and Dale and Barry did a wonderful job!
The owners of this brilliantly located facility need to re-vamp and upgrade their service!!!

This was by far the highlight of an already great trip along the west coast of Tasmania. Don't miss it!
It is very remote but well worth the diversion from the highway on the way to or from Cradle mountain/Strahan.
The accommodation was excellent in little cottages, and the tavern and restaurant was just a superb experience, food and service. The environment is amazing and the walks well worth while.
Wish we allowed 2-3 days instead of overnight.
We did not do the cruise as we had just come from Strahan

Room Tip: There are a range of cottages....all good Make sure the gas fire place works....they can sometimes...

It is a lovely spot with a few walks, the 1,5hrs rainforest walk off the campground being the best. Pademelons and possums are not scared of people, probably being fed by visitors. There are 10 camping spots and lots of cabins. The restaurant can get very noisy, especially with outside customers (Savage river mines?) which was quite annoying the first night. You really want to be put asleep by nature, not by pub noise when you come this far. The next 2 nights were quieter though, so we deicided to stay. It was nice overall, reception a little bit pushy selling river cruises, but all fine. A nice spot when the circumstances are right. Toilets and showers are kept clean, hot showers cost 2$. The ride to the other side with the barge and its capatin was interesting!

We had planned to stay here for one night on our trip to Tasmania but ended up staying for two - mainly because the weather roared in but also because if we were going to be stuck then we might as well be stuck in such a nice place. The other reviews have mentioned no internet, mobile etc but some nice walks and time on your hands to relax read, talk to other guests etc. It wasn't that busy so even more feeling of space. We stayed in the Roadman's Cottage which is the smallest and most basic cottage on the property and loved it. Perhaps less so if the weather was hotter. Nice meals, friendly staff. Really glad we went.

Loved this place, the gorgeous little cottages are self contained and spacious I thought...no TV, no phone reception, just relaxing. go for a short walk through the forrest. restaurant was on the expensive side, altho was quite nice...large undercover BBQ area where we all socialised (20 of us) grab some meat and salad and cook up a storm

We have just returned from a three day visit to Corinna. What a magic place! A wonderful sense of calm and relaxation pervades this little settlement. So perfect for just "being ". ( No internet or mobile usage- bring a book, a scrabble set, a journal, a camera, and your walking boots! )
We did several of the walks - exploring and climbing up into the Tarkine Rainforest was very special. We also enjoyed immensely the cruise on the Pieman River in the Arcadia. Dale the captain is a very personable young man - we loved his storytelling and information about this wild part of Tasmania. Our cottage was comfortable and cosy- backing on to the forest. The food in the Tannin Restaurant was EXCELLENT. We self catered for breakfast and also brought food with us to bbq the first night. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

This is the place to visit if you fancy some time in a place of peace and quiet with just nature and your fellow guests for company. We had a cheerful welcome from the driver of the Ferry as we and our hire car crossed the river Pieman into Corinna. Our cabin was very comfortable and backed directly onto the surrounding forest. Food at the restaurant was freshly prepared and served with a smile. Good wine list. Excellent breakfast is delivered in a basket to your cabin, if you order a cooked breakfast the ingredients arrive and you cook it yourself, great local produce, especially the warm bread and the honey. Take a trip down the river to visit the beach and the southern ocean, follow the marked trails through the forest, sit on your verandah and watch the wildlife, I especially loved the grazing pademelons. Just a really great place. Do Not visit if you need TV and internet and your mobile phone.
