When you ask your driver to stop at their favorite restaurant, you're usually in for a treat.

Benny's Kitchen has great food - local dishes, prepared well, served quickly at good prices. Our group ordered a bit of everything and enjoyed it all.

Came here with a mission trip group on two occasions. First time we were there as well as another large group. Didn't get my order right, but the food was good. Service took forever ... should have been another person helping our overloaded waitress.

Second time they stayed open late for our group of 15 to have dinner ... very much appreciated. Food and service were excellent!

Nice outdoor covered seating and a big screen TV with US cable access.

Would certainly recommend for a decent place to eat dinner instead of travelling all the way to San Ignacio.

While Benny's Kitchen is a bit of a drive if you are staying in San Ignacio, it is well worth the trip. We hadn't planned on eating at Benny's but our ATM guide said it was the best food in San Ignacio and he was right. We tried all of the appetizers and each and everyone was not only great but inexpensive as well. Although there were four of us, after all the appetizers we could only order two meals but they were both excellent. The Pibil was tender and flavorful and the Gibnut was well seasoned and everyone liked it. We enjoyed a couple of fruit shakes with the meal and left very full and content.

The people were nice, the food was great and they were open until 9pm.

Order the BBQ on the weekends, and the fry jacks for breakfast.

The food is cheap and delicious.

We visited Benny's after seeing the Mayan site Xunantunich. It's close by, and it's where the locals eat! Great papaya shakes and fruit juices. Typical Belizean food, and fast service.
