This hotel is only 5 minutes walking away from the centre of Old Campeche and is situated within the old centre itself as well. The room was spacious with two double beds, and excellent facilities: tv with heaps of channels, silent but good aircon and fan, spacious bathroom with very good shower and a free parking space next to the hotel with more than enough room. Free WiFi worked very well.
You really can't wish for much more, also given the price of below 600 pesos. The - included - continental breakfast was basic, but adequate. It is nice to start the day with a good, non-instant- coffee!
The staff was nice and helpful.

Stayed here for one night and it was fine as a stopover - close to center, had free parking, bed was good, tv and internet worked. However, if you book a cheap deal you'll most probably get a room where the windows open up to their washing room, literally. The room was tiny and a bit dark, bathroom was ok but could have been a lot cleaner in the shower area. I understand cheap small hotels can't offer same standards as big massive modern ones but cleaning doesn't really cost much.
A lot of people have complained about the breakfast, I can't fault that. After tripping around in Mexico for teo weeks and staying in a different hotel every night - this is a very typical Mexican breakfast that they offer. Toast, butter, jam, coffee, orange juice. Some places throw in some cereals and/or fruit but anything beyond that is already a luxury.
Overall wouldn't probably stay here if I came to Campeche again but at the same time I can't say I have any remaining bad memories of the place either. Just average.

As backpackers we usually prefer hostels, but Campeche doesn't exactly have many, so we decided to stay in El Navegante instead. Our room was really big and rather nice, with comfy beds and everything one needs. The location in a quiet street inside the old town is also very convenient. Staff was nice and very helpful, the breakfast was rather mediocre though (most hostels in Mexico had nicer ones).

All in all a satisfying experience and we would definitely stay there again.

The hotel has all basic things, hot shower, comfortable beds, tv's and at least the bedroom where I stayed it was huge. We made the reservation for three people, so maybe that why it was so big.

The hotel is quiet.

From the outside the hotel looks like it has been renovated but in the inside the furniture looks wore out. But for the price, the hotel is great and this is the reason why I give a very good rating.

The breakfast is coffee or tea, bread, juice and that is it, It it is pretty basic.

Nobody explain you what is the breakfast so basically we just walk out and there was the food. I don't know if there is a restaurant at the hotel, but during breakfast they don't offer anything else, and as I mentioned there is nobody to attend you.

If you want something more luxury there are other places, but if you just need a place to crash and have coffee in the morning, this is the place for you.

The location is ok, there is a coffee place that stays open until midnight just two blocks from there. And one and a half block from the hotel there is a little stand where you can get one of the mains desserts from Campeche call Machacado, which basically is ice with fruit and nestle milk.

El Navegante is a small hotel located in the Centro Historico, clean, wi-fi, tv and simple yet well appointed. Great bathrooms. Walking distance within the "walled city" with many places to eat and museos to visit. Coffee and sweets in the morning. no restaurant but check out the charming restaurtant, Rosemary, just down the calle at 65 at 14th for breakfast or dinner.

Room Tip: spend the extra few dollars for the suite with is actually a larger room but with a large front terr...

El Navegante, located inside the walls of this historic city, was perfect for my needs. It is small, quiet, clean, and comfortable. There is a ceiling fan, and the air-conditioning is quiet than most hotel room units. It comes with a flat-screen TV on the wall. The included breakfast is Continental--Mexican sweet breads, coffee and juice. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We found this hotel in trip advisor and is perfekt for us. Not too expensive, big rooms and cleand. The girl at the rception was very nice and helpfull.
Best of all...it is on the border of the historical center...so still in the pretty and colorful streets, but not so loud. Breakfast was not our taste, but there are a lot of places around to get a good breakfast.
