I stayed in this hotel for 1 night only. It was a weekday and it cost RM69.00 only. The room is spaceous with all the amenities like TV, Fridge, Phone, Coffee & Tea ,6 Glasses, 3 Bottles of Water, Hairdryer.& Towels. It has wi fi service and a computer in the lobby which guest can use for free. It is in Town itself and near all eateries. The hotel is not noisy at night. It is situated on the main road. Taxi is always available in front of the hotel. For the price you pay, I think it is worth it.What I like best is you don"t have to pay any Deposit.

Room tip: Stay from the 1st to the 5th Floor where lift service is available.

I was there on the 26th June checked in to room 611 at the 6th floor.
Nice and comfortable room with spacious washroom which is value for money.
The Air Conditioning serviceman were prompt to attend to fix the leakage.Everything was clean without any stench.

Wifi gets unstable maybe the signal is weak at the 6th floor.
The elevator works up to 5th floor and you do your fitness walk up and down the 6th floor.
Just outside the Reception there are few Operators who will approach you with enticing offers but you can make your bargain.
I got an offer to Hatyai (Mr,Goe and Mr.Zakaria the drivers) for RM 23 in a Van and I was there in 4hrs a nice ride.

Room tip: Get the room facing the front you get to see the busy area.

I drove from Kulim to Betong last May.Modern Thai is located in the heart of Betong Town.Overall, it was a pleasant trip. The hotel is value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only draw back is limited parking space for hotel guests' cars.

Room tip: Higher floors have less A/C unit noise.

We went Betong last week and planned to stay 2 nights. The hotel was easily sighted along the street, and was relatively new if you compare it with other hotels at that area. First impression was good. However, we were given 1 key per Deluxe room, instead of 2 keys. And we realised we were not the only travellers being given 1 key per room. Because there were people knocking on their doors to ask their room mates to open the doors in the middle of nights. When there was silence on the street and we were trying to grap some rest after a few hours driving, all we could hear were noises, footsteps, crying, shouting, talking, knocking .... And the door locks were designed in the way that one has to shut the door hard if we want to leave the room, so again, we were awaken in the middle of nights many times because of this.In the end, we only stayed for 1 night and left with exhausted bodies, as didn't manage to sleep at night
